FS: London UK - Collection of Valves + Radio Tubes and DHTs

Hi guys - selling a large quantity of my valves. Prices can be negotiated to some extent for multiple numbers. Please contact me with any questions or if you want more details about particular valves.

I would draw your attention to the European radio triodes - these are rare and collectible and have a gain (mu) of 30 or over. They sound very good and make excellent driver tubes for amplifiers.

More details about the 6SN7 tubes, all £20:

Type ...........Anode Base Let. Mm Number
GE 6SN7GT grey blk whi 64... 1
GE 6SN7GTA grey blk whi 56... 2
GE 6SN7GTA blk blk whi 60... 1
GE 6SN7GTB grey blk whi 60... 3
GE 6SN7GTB blk blk whi 56... 1
Hit Ray 6SN7GTB blk blk whi 66... 1
HP 6SN7GTB grey blk whi 63... 1

Mm is height base-top without the pins.
These have all been tested as minimum approx. 80% or over

Andy what about the emissions of DHT 01A, 26 & 10Y? In other words, could I use with Moglia's hybrid mu-follower and get the mA & the anode bias voltage?
01A & 10Y are thoriated tungsten?
I think all my 10Y are thoriated tungsten. Some of the 01A glow bright yellow, some don't.

The emissions of the 10Y are all pretty good - should be 80% or over. The 01A and 26 vary, but most are again pretty good. They all have been tested good. I can't tell you about Ale's circuits because I don't use them.

no one can reach the anode B+ of 150V with 5mA using Moglia's hybrid mu-follower
Hybrid-mu follower load "setting up" anode voltage (for example 150V).
The current is dependent of bias voltage. If you use higher bias (heater bias?) than -for example 11.5V (about 9V filament bias + half of filament voltage) - the current will be lesser than 5mA.
It's -mostly- due the circuit design error, not tube.

Bela I don't use higher heater bias one pin 11.5V & the other 10V and filament bias 10R resistor and any tube reach 140V at anode using Ale's hybrid mu-follower with B+ 185V, Ale said hybrid mu-follower only needs 20V diff. Vin / Vout to work properly, so not a design error: are low emmision tubes as Ale & I believe.

I've had problems using the gyrator with 01A tubes in the past so this doesn't surprise me - I tried several tubes. But I've tested them since then and they all test good. Not surprising since I bought them tested from a dealer. Could have been some glitch in the actual circuits I was using or the operating point or both. Whatever. I really don't know, but I do know it isn't the tubes.

The "gyrator" sets (with the trimmer) the anode voltage.
If you sets 150V, at THIS (filament) bias voltage you get some mA anode current. It's NEVER reach 5mA, rather 4mA.

Otra vez 😈
I know how to set the gyrator.
The problem with all Andy 26 tubes is that no one reach the 150V of anode voltage using the gyrator, do you understand this?
