In the plan, the port is placed at rear panel.
l would like the pot to be in front to give more flexibility in placement.
l will use the alternative vent placed at the bottom of the front panel because it looks móre tidy.
Is there any other adjustments necessary before l send the plan to a carpenter?

Yes. It's there to ensure minimised noise, amongst other things.
It doesn't actually, but do whatever you wish, the option is there.
