Fip is my fav radio since 2001, when I discovered it in Paris and listened to it bu satellite before the web streaming. I love the quality of music programming. Quality is good enough for me as radio listening. I'll try your links

I was very inspired by you post..
I am in process of completing my F5 build, which is based on the DB4. I am using two 200W switching mode PSUs, one for each 24V rail.
It appears to work and it is not getting too hot. Compared to the ACA it is a little bit hotter, but I have not installed the final thermal pads yet. So there is headroom.

Yes, I did use the brackets, but only the brackets.
I polished two pieces of copper and drilled them, that's all. The copper connects to the case with large thermal pads.
