Nah, a sarcasm font still wouldnt make this funny. Did you have too much to drink? What are you even on about? pretending to be an easy target? Is it humour? doesnt read like humour. It reads like trolling people that arent even here to be trolled; well basically desperately trying to troll anyone in the vicinity. Do you actually think you are being witty, or is cringey the new funny? Did you have a fight with your wife? Are you OK?
Now that's just hilarious! No need for a 3D printer, everybody has a toilet, a toothpick and a rubber band.

I would have never thought that such a simple solution to the twisted obsessions of audiophiles would be so easy to conquer.
I wouldnt worry, there is no evidence the OP has a 3d printer either. I like @jacques antoine 's solution better anyway. Very elegant.

And notice - the harmonizing of the colors to blend with the carpeting and wiring - all earth tones, to avoid distracting the audiophile's attention from the musical performance.I wouldnt worry, there is no evidence the OP has a 3d printer either. You assume that I'm trying to entertain others or am seeking approval. But yet you keep coming back for more. Tell us about your relationship with your father, and when it began. I think that would shed some light on your disfunction and bitterness. Don't forget your booster, we're all rooting for you Inspector. Good to have you around.Nah, a sarcasm font still wouldnt make this funny. Did you have too much to drink? What are you even on about? pretending to be an easy target? This guy gets it.And notice - the harmonizing of the colors to blend with the carpeting and wiring - all earth tones, to avoid distracting the audiophile's attention from the musical performance.
Grain structure is all wrong on these, might void my insurance. But nice to see something made in Germany for once, great people. Home of WBT, the best low mass connectors on the market. You buy now.Cable Lifters, Large starter set, 60 pieces, Beechwood, Made in Germany.

Desperate TROLL begging for some attention, even if the negative kind.
Agree, not even funny.
Most worthless thread I saw in quite a long time.

Actually, its for open minded people who have 3D printers and want to see if a riser for their power cable will make a difference or not. It made a difference for me and I was hoping other people who don't already know everything and are open to experimentation might try it for themselves. But then like clockwork, the same folks who smugly assume everything they've never experienced is due to confirmation bias come in and start bullying and trolling. But then I'm the troll somehow for not taking them seriously, got it.Desperate TROLL begging for some attention, even if the negative kind.

And for what its worth, there are MANY people on this forum who are open to these ideas. Many people that have experienced what using different capacitors do to sound, how resistors and discrete voltage regulators can improve sound and yes, even the direction of fuses. All of things make a difference to enough people on this forum and it is a great place to discuss these topics and learn from other people. The only downside is that we have to deal with bullies and people who take this stuff WAY too seriously.
We can also laugh at ourselves, that's okay. Some of these fuse discussions are pretty funny, or the discussions about which Duelund bypass capacitor sounds best. The language can get a little bit artsy which really turns off the engineering types, but that's what you get when you are mixing the technical elements of circuits and electronic equipment designed to provide subjectively pleasurable audio for people to enjoy.
So I stand by my comments about the riser. That is what I heard. You or anyone else can say it is confirmation bias, and I have no way to prove it. Even if I did a double blind test, nobody would believe it. It's not a valid question, just a bullying tactic by the same old crowd that really belongs on ASR or snuggling up to Amir and fondling his oscilloscope.

Well, after having substantial accredited training in the electronics field, from High School to Tech School, becoming Certified, and 40+ years experience in the professional video/audio sales and service industry, I believe that by now I can smell BS when I see it.
The internet however has certainly enlightened me as to some of the crazies out there that dream up or are dreaming about things that are not really there.

So you think you are smarter than the Japanese engineers at Furutech, whose products are installed in audio systems costing several hundreds of thousands of dollars?Well, after having substantial accredited training in the electronics field, from High School to Tech School, becoming Certified, and 40+ years experience in the professional video/audio sales and service industry, I believe that by now I can smell BS when I see it.

I'm quite "smart enough" to be reasonable, and adhere to the time-tested fundamentals concerning electronic design, and the properties thereof. So you think you are smarter than the Japanese engineers at Furutech, whose products are installed in audio systems costing several hundreds of thousands of dollars?
Which, I might add, do not change, or are changeable.
Last I knew, Ohm's Law is still intact and devoid of manipulation.
By the way, I checked on that "Furuteck" site.... it's just another bunch of BS site hawking to the uneducated and gullible.
And if you buy into that junk, it's your money, your choice.

No Engineers back that nonsense, it´s 120% pure horse manure created by MARKETING sleazies. So you think you are smarter than the Japanese engineers at Furutech, whose products are installed in audio systems costing several hundreds of thousands of dollars?
People spend millions of dollars in drugs, does that make them valid?
You have your priorities upside down.
So yes, wiseoldtech is TECHNICALLY smarter than Furutech peddlers, probably not as much sleazy marketing savvy I guess.
Okay, so people who own $500,000+ systems are stupid and gullible. They are reasonable enough to invest, run businesses, raise families and in all other aspects of life and discernment, particularly financial discernment, are top notch. However, all that goes out the door when they magically lose all common sense and devolve to primates who don't understand the basic concept of confirmation bias, and can't decipher what is and isn't confirmation bias. Luckily they have you, a guy with a degree and a soldering iron, who can tell them what is actually going on in their minds. But the moment they step away from their listening chair, all functions are magically restored. Gotcha.I'm quite "smart enough" to be reasonable, and adhere to the time-tested fundamentals concerning electronic design, and the properties thereof.

Furutech engineers are a bunch of Japanese scammers but bullies like you have the moral high ground. Makes sense. No Engineers back that nonsense, it´s 120% pure horse manure created by MARKETING sleazies.

Calling you on your BS does not make us bullies. You have knowingly posted a woo woo thread in the area of the forum dominated by measurements and measurement gear. You really dont have a leg to stand on, trying to cry victim.
Thats if its even a genuine thread, rather than just an attempt to stir people up and get your rocks off. I'm leaning more towards the latter.

and yes, many people with $500000 systems are indeed gullible and stupid. Having disposable income doesnt make you impervious to the tactics of charlatans.
This thread was never meant to have any actual replies. It was for people with 3D printers, who have already thought about getting risers, and who could save some time and money to try before they buy. Obviously if you are thinking of buying a riser you would already be somebody with certain experiences. The only responses that should have been given were:
1. I tried it, didn't hear a difference.
2. I tried it, heard a difference. Might get the real thing or might keep this one, thanks for the heads up.
Instead you have a bunch of bullies coming in, calling me a troll while only joining this thread to troll me, then start with the insults. This is pure ego. If you don't want to try it, don't try it. Easy enough, just go away. But it just feels like a cult with people spending all this time trying to make sure other people don't even give it a chance or experiment on their own. The logic is a typical appeal to authority, i.e. "I have a degree and am so smart and I'm telling you this doesn't work so don't waste your time." Sounds noble enough, like you want to save people time. But honestly, do you even care if people waste their time or money? Of course not, it takes a second to print something. You come here to troll, insult and bully and try to control others. Then you project your disfunctions and ego on me. It's not that complicated, either try it or don't, stop trying to convince me, it's not going to happen. That's why I'm not trying to convince you, because you already seem to have all the answers.
For the non-bullies, I think you are reasonable enough to give it a shot if you want to. If you don't then no problem at all. Just trying to help some open minded forum members, but there are always bullies in most threads that like to take things way off topic and attack people. Such is life.

You're new on here, and likely young as well, at least your insistence to convince others on here appears to be clearly childish.Okay, so people who own $500,000+ systems are stupid and gullible. And for that, I and others certainly don't have the time to argue your points, nor will we continue this rediculous subject.
You're arguing with a 68 year old established, well-regarded professional tech, me, and you want to continue with this?
I think not.
Because we've already got plenty of goofy Snake Oil topics here that are long worn-out and laughed at.
You come on here and blast us with this junk, it only adds to your newish reputation, and if you insist on this babbling nonsense, I along with others hit the "block" button real fast.
Grow up.
