This little 6V6 a fun amp. It's a recent amp from China, but a fun one. It uses Russian 6V6 pentodes in single ended output mode. The transformers allow Ultra Linear wiring if you want to. It weighs about 11 pounds, or around 5 kg.
This originality came with some obscure Chinese 7 pin radio tubes on the inputs, but Poindexter help me swap those out for a lovely matched pair of 6GK5 that he uses in his Musical Machine amp. That meant rewiring to the new pinout and setting new operating points. A nice improvement in gain, channel matching and linearity.
I mostly used this to drive the horns on my Altec A5 VOTT system, where it had plenty of headroom. In recent years it's been driving my Fostex T50RP headphones, which benefit from the extra oomph of a good amp. Very smooth. The amp has a little too much buzz for sensitive headphones, but for speakers, even horns, it was always quiet.
Hate to let it go, but I can't take it with me.
$95 OBO. These usually go for $150 used with original tubes. Count about 14 lbs for shipping from zip code 33901

Also for sale a Behringer Ultra-Pro DEQ2496. This is also modified for direct output from the DAC chip. To use the XLR output you'll need a transformer or a couple of DC blocking caps. (see second photo) I used this with 1:1 transformers for the analog out and it made a nice DAC. Chips are AKM. This bypasses the less than stellar analog section of the unit, similar to mods on the DCX2496. Any good signal transformer will do, I've used Jensen, Peerless, Cinemag, Edcor, Onetics and others. Or use a two pairs of nice film caps for DC blocking.
The 1/4 output is still stock so can be directly into an amp or preamp.
Mostly I used this in digital in/out to go to the DCX. You can connect Toslink or AES in and out. With an RCA to XLR adapter, the AES digital inputs worked great for SPDIF too. When doing a long digital run, I used a Coax to AES 75:110 ohm transformer.
Either digital or analog or mixed, this makes a nice DAC with all sorts of EQ on board. Using this EQ can make a huge difference to your system. It even has a compressor and expander. I made presets to EQ and uncompress Pandora and Spotify. Sweet.
These seem to be out of stock everywhere, so here's your chance to get one. They are going for crazy prices on eBay. 😱
$95 plus shipping. I don't have the original box.

I might want the Ultracurve... Depends on shipping cost to Toronto (M4P1Z3)... Right now I'm usinc 10$ ADC and DAC but I've been looking into one of these for a while. As far as analog output, Would it drive a Triad TY-250P?
Mod is easy to undo. But there is also a second output on 1/4" that is stock. Shipping might be pricey. I'll try to figure it out.
That via US Post Office. International shipping from the USA has goen thru the roof in the past few years. Makes deals like this difficult. 🙁
Pano, I'm interested in the MP-301; my zip is 98501. What would I owe with ship, say FedEX home delivery?
Could you get a rate for UPS Worldwide Express Saver? I wouldn't be surprised if it was less money.
I’LL TAKE BOTH!Bump. 25% off or make me an offer!
PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TPROCEED.

FedEx says $36 to get it from one corner of the country to the other.FedEX home delivery?
$49 estimated. If it's less, I'll adjust.UPS Worldwide Express Saver?
Arggghhh. Bad news. Fired up the tube amp and lost a 6V6 filament. 😡
Oh well. A set of matched 6V6 go for half mu asking price of the amp.
If anyone still wants it, We can talk price.

Wow. We were just talking about how rare a heater/filament failure is compared to other failure modes! Go buy a lottery ticket...
I'll send you a PM about the DEQ2496

Agreed, very rare. I turned it on and heard Ping! and no light o the left. I swapped the tubes and the right tube lights up just fine on the left.
Well, at least it didn't happen to whoever bought it. Better that I take the hit.

Still interested, have the tubes on hand. What's the total for me to send you - assume paypal is OK - to get the MP-301 shipped?
