I threw this web site up to show how I built the pi-amp (PC Integrated Amplifier). I had fun building it and learned quite a bit.

Has anyone ever been shocked by the exposed cases of the transistors on the front?
Did you make the circuit boards for the Leach amplifier yourself, or is there a third-party source for these?
There's a graphic of the pcb on the legacy page, but that was when boards were optical.
Someone has since made Gerber files and a ready version.

Thanks. Building a Leach amp has been on my project "to do" list ever since the original Audio Magazine articles came out. Like a lot of other projects, this one never made it to the top of the pile but I still hope to get around to it some day. I guess "some day" is going to be really busy. 🙂
I made the gerber files using geda on linux and had a small batch run by Express PCB. This was years ago. I updated the link to this page due to a domain change. Been a great amp!Did you make the circuit boards for the Leach amplifier yourself, or is there a third-party source for these?
You know relativity, the faster you go, the heavier you get.Thanks. Building a Leach amp has been on my project "to do" list ever since the original Audio Magazine articles came out.
