Hey All,
I bought a Douk Audio Shigeru Wada clone type cheap tube preamp and have a question.
Does anyone happen to have a schematic that might apply to this type of preamp?
Dual transformer
2 12AU7 tubes
2 6N4 tubes
4 6N2 tubes
2 6Z4 tubes
Not sure what the purpose of the 6N2 tubes are?
I have dabbled in solid state for awhile and thought I would venture in to the tube world where the voltages are a lot higher!
Thanks Steve

At my own peril, I googled " Shigeru Wada" and got the usual crop of Chinese clone preamps, none of which look like what you have. No surprise really. This would suggest that the odds of you finding a schematic are extremely slim, and if you do find something, there's no guarantee it's going to be correct.

I got it discounted. Sold with a hum, none of the bolts had been tightened, the transformers were just laying in place and one of the 4 150uf 450 capacitors was rolling around in the bottom. Scary to think it was plugged in that way. I soldered the cap back in place and bolted everything down and plugged it in. It has a low hum in the right channel and very low sound output from both channels. I noticed that the input line from the volume control to the main board is is only grounded on one side, might explain the hum, you can probably see it in the the picture. I was going to ground it and then bypass the input selector board and go direct in to the main board to try to isolate the low volume issue, it’s low enough that it could be cross feed/bleeding.
Sound like a good approach?
Thanks for your help.

I'll bet you a dollar it was disconnected because of hum. 😉I noticed that the input line from the volume control to the main board is is only grounded on one side, might explain the hum, you can probably see it in the the picture.
