I want to at least go down to 20hz and no problem with box size. Any box will be OK.

None of them look like real subwoofer material to be honest. But i see one is seeling the Faital 18HF510, doesn't he has the 18HF500 from the same brand, because that is a very good pro woofer that can be tunesd low in the right cabinet.
checked for 18HF500 and dont have it. Is really hard to get drivers in my country, and we cant import either, we have limited purchases/year. Looks like need to still searching for some other local seller.None of them look like real subwoofer material to be honest. Why 18FH500 is better han 18FH510? i check specs and looks similar, or im wrong? What TS parameter i need to check to found a good Subwoofer?None of them look like real subwoofer material to be honest. How will these drivers be used... is this for home audio or mobile applications?
The drivers your listed appear to all be the pro audio type in case you didn't realize.

Yes is the only brands that found in argentina (at reasonable price)
The Faital 18HF510 has a very low qts which makes it impossible to tune low without a huge horn. As it's for hifi i thought, relfex or TL type will be better than a huge basshorn and then the higher qts of the 18HF500 (among other specs) make it better to tune low in a reflex (that still will be large). It's not that the 18HF510 is a bad driver, but it's absolutly not suited for home use as subwoofer, except when your listening space is a ballroom with space for huge horns.checked for 18HF500 and dont have it. Oh i see, so i need to search for some driver with higher QTS, thanksThe Faital 18HF510 has a very low qts which makes it impossible to tune low without a huge horn. The 18SWS1000 Doesn't look too bad. The Le in the spec sheet didn't look right so I fudged that but a sealed cabinet looks decent. only down 8 dB at 32Hz so room gain might make it just fine. A touch of Eq., an 800uF inline cap, or a modest ported cabinet would lift that a bit.

Thanks, I want lower than 30Hz, but if cant found another subwoofer, will use this then 🙂The 18SWS1000 Doesn't look too bad. Here is what SPL and excursion look like for the simple tapped horn GM posted above, both raw and filtered (4th order 17hz highpass + 4th order 55hz lowpass), 350 watts. You can have 117+db at 20hz if you want. This is an excellent choice if you are certain about having no box size limits!I want lower than 30Hz
If you're not familiar with tapped horns this is just a giant rectangular box, with one divider inside it, slanted across to make a taper. Here is a photo of the inside of an 800L tapped horn, showing how simple the layout is:

Note that this is 2pi (out in the open), so up against a wall or corner it will be louder to a lower cutoff or need even less power, so overall a very high SQ (infra) sub system plus with DSP the upper corner can be extended to 80-120 Hz if desired.
Thanks, will check if can get the 18HP1030 here. Here is what SPL and excursion look like for the simple tapped horn GM posted above, both raw and filtered (4th order 17hz highpass + 4th order 55hz lowpass), 350 watts. I like 18HP1030 for the price, XL1800 looks much better but cost like double...
The room is a little small for that kind of power/sub, its only 4m x 5m x 2.4m

OK, so the 18FP1030 doesn't exist............yes, these two are best overall with the 18XL1800 the more powerful.
So now you're saying size matters?!

I dont say that the size of the box will matters, but i'm scared about getting too much SPL in a small room. but dont know if this is a problem.OK, so the 18FP1030 doesn't exist............yes, these two are best overall with the 18XL1800 the more powerful.

I never think about it.
Forget Xmax. For 4m x 5m x 2.4m, unless you want SPL that will make the neighbours think about ways to end your life prematurely.
But for sound quality, the huge cone area means you can look for as little as 4mm Xmax and a low power coil, which will most likely improve distortion as long as the sub stays within its normal operating range. Room gain will be huge at 20Hz in a room of that size, so you can lose 10-20dB in a sealed box simulation and it won't matter.

Yes, If possible try to get a handle on your room gain either by simulation or testing. Another possible tack would be to get a driver with TS parameters that will work reasonably well with either sealed or augmented alignments and try the sealed first to see what you get. But I really would suggest trying to have a pretty good idea of the gain you can expect prior to purchasing a driver if possible.
