I finally have time on my hands to dig into some projects.
Small tube amps and full range speakers are my current obsession.
Current system involves my rebuilt Acoustat 1+1’s, driven by a Threshold T-100 (60W/ch Class A)
in a 17’x12’ acoustically treated room, still in progress…
Various sources embraced: CD, Tidal and the traditional 12” polycarbonate disc.
Thanks for this amazing resource!

I’m sure many here do!Greetings and welcome from another South Islander. I too play the black wax.🙂

thanks for the welcome.
I wonder if there is any interest in the services of an experienced turntable setup guy in our area?
(obviously limited by location and travel limitations)
I’m not soliciting trade here: I just wonder what people are doing about careful setup in these troubled times.
Just spinning Pat Metheny, Road to the Sun. 👍
Welcome to the forum. There is a long time forum member and moderator also from south VI. It's a lovely place.
You must be close to my brother's place on Dallas Rd. Where I live, space is not so expensive, but I still have no time for vinyl or space heaters.
Hi Mark,
In Sooke Steve,
Mark & i chatted for about an hour yesterday and it turns out we met at a B&) training thing in Toronto in 1979. Could not stomach much B&O after that.

I’m actually in East Sooke: almost at the end of the road, though I would love a Dallas rd. address if my ship comes in! We built here in 2018.You must be close to my brother's place on Dallas Rd. Where I live, space is not so expensive, but I still have no time for vinyl or space heaters.
I’m just getting back into the diy audio pursuit.
Recent projects: rebuilt my Acoustat 1+1s, built a Bottlehead “Crack” headphone amp, and just about to start an Amp Camp Amp, maybe two.
Immensely satisfying to listen to stuff I have built myself.
Such a stark contrast to the pointless “hamster wheel“ of my work life.

That is so comical, Dave. That event, designed to inspire B&O sales, was part of the reason I left the shop I was at, to work in a shop with great gear and a passion for music. Which eventually brings us here…Hi Mark,

I'm guessing not a ton, but I do see turntables come up for sale locally quite often, so maybe some of the shops (not many left) could use your help. You'd have to ask around.

Not really trying to set up a biz…just wondered how people were managing.
Probably a question better suited to a Vinyl forum than a diy group.
