My DIY listening room

Wow, the room, speakers and shelves look fantastic. I do hope the plant thrives with music. You have reasonably high ceilings. How did you design the layout? How does it measure acoustically? How does it sound? What is your experience with the acoustic ceiling tile, and do you have data sheets?

Thank you hifiamps, appreciate your words! Unfortunately as I mentioned in the video I haven't tooked measurements at all. The concept was to build a theoretical good room, and to improvise afterwards depending only on my ears. The room turned out to be acoustically fantastic! Yet, I still had problems to solve. For example the front makes a U shape... That had an horn effect on the soundstage and voice. That's why I had to break the effect with diffusers. The ceiling turned out to be awesome. Thou the most expensive part of the room. Apart from the gear of course 🙂

Bro , huge respect that’s some amazing work .
wanted to ask you something, I’m redoing my basement and hope you could answer.
1 I was reading about green glue but noticed you used silicone. Did y just use one layer of drywall and silicon or 2 and sil in between? Any reason for not using GG ? My main goal is to reduce vibrations in this case not as much to reduce sound transmission .
that wood insulation looks interesting I’ll google it . Thanks .
