For those of you who think the changes are just cosmetic and not worth it - just do some digging. You'll find many functions that are much better than the old software. The way this software handles images is vastly superior to the old, just to cite one example. Have a look and poke around, there is a lot you can change and many things that work much better than the previous software. Well, except for the horrible square avatars..... 😛

WARNING: Tube/Valve amplifiers use potentially LETHAL HIGH VOLTAGES.
Building, troubleshooting and testing of these amplifiers should only be
performed by someone who is thoroughly familiar with
the safety precautions around high voltages

Is this “gigantic sign” really necessary? It hits me like a 500Vdc every time I open the Tube/Valve forum. I guess that is the intention, but it really gets old quickly.
I had the same thought.

After a 36 hour marathon migration, we have our new home!

It was important for us to get off our old software as soon as possible, rather than wait for the new software to be perfect. Your bug reports and constructive feedback are welcome. They will help guide us make the right decisions to improve the site in the future, and to clean up any issues.

Planning, development and migration was performed in partnership with Xenforo experts Audentio. You might see some of them chime in to this discussion thread.

PS make sure you check out the theme chooser which gives you three theme options - light, dark, and classic.
Thanks for all the work, I can’t believe how much I missed checking in. Haven’t used it much but would comment the pictures as shown in the posts are blurry. But when clicked upon they open with much better resolution. Just an observation from an old guy. Looking forward to exploring further

For those that donated (Enthusiast level for example), will the enhanced thread view functions return to allow viewing the entire thread on one page (for easier searching and printing)? Sorry if this has already been covered. I tried searching the thread but couldn't find anything.

The front page "load more" does load more but the page number isn't updated. It's not a bug actually but when I've loaded more several times I'd expect a jump to page 2 actually starts where the previous display ended, or alternatively, update the page number to where I am currently... I know this is a sort of conflicting/inconsistent requirement but I feel I would be more natural if the page number display would reflect the end of the current list, not the start.
Also it would cool to have a second page selector at the bottom of the page, to reduce scrolling.
File under nice-to-have options, no priority.

I'd love to have adjustable post per page (used the max of 50 in the old version), or did I miss that in the preferences? Again, nice-to-have option, no priority.

For mobile version, navigating into sub-forums is a bit awkward. Also, the top-level left-side menu that comes up (Forums/Matketplace) is sensitive to touch only close to the down arrows, not at the rest of the line/text.

I really do like that you kept a useable search function and in general bit thank you for that major overhaul, well done!

Need to be careful of the text colours that you use, I noticed that one of my posts where I had used bold highlighted white text in the dark theme mode, the same text in Light mode is just readable but in Classic mode is almost unreadable. The same applies to the inserted hyperlinks.
See this post and change the theme.

I can see people complaining about text colours, what is okay in dark theme mode may not necessarily be readable in the other themes.

The home page view option of card or list.... If it were up to me, I would dump the card and have it as table or list...
While I know an admin must keep with the times, one poster stated scalability has been affected. I too am someone who prefers simple flat layouts, and the actual posts matter more to me than how things look. That said, I will take time to get used to this layout and chime in when the newness is gone...
Kudos to the transition team.....

EDIT.. Classic Theme! Yeaaaa baby....
You guys should have made that the default!!!
