I would like fork the input sources of my preamp so that I can send audio (from a CD player in one of the inputs) to reel-to-reel recorder and listen to the recorded sound from it at same time, without disconnect my source from preamp and connect it to the recorder.
Should I put a second (to capture the sound from a CD player, for example) input switch for this? If so, should I put resitors (in serie) with the output from the main input switch, just in case I I decide to listen to the CD player (It's the sound source for the recorder in this moment)?
I hope all you will understand my idea.

that's Tape Monitor input/function
easy to do
Am I in the right way with my idea? What should I do (details)?
see
do the same for both channels
in best case, "REC OUT" is buffered
Thanks a lot. I will analyse your scheme carefully and try to build it.
