Anyone know where I can get a better pump from? Dam things keep failing....
preferably a real good one if available.
The one I have is exactly the same as in the photo.

Try to use a lighter setting, the THC easily clogs the pump, heating it up and eventually the pump breaking down. Just use a lower setting for the vaporizer.
JP I am wondering how you know about this when last time we were on the subject of tHC you were implying we were weak for using it?
It was meant as a joke. The pump is in coffee machines. Yes, the remarks still stand. Many that are 100% healthy but feel the need to use intoxicating drugs and/or create a dependance on the stuff are weak.
Trust me I come from a country where drugs are unfortunately available in abundance. Many have seen the devastating effects of intoxicating drugs and addiction. I have anyway.

Imo you are one of many folks mixing up tHC with opiates and the like. A discussion for another day, another thread, while the op tries to find a fix for his water pump
I suspect the problem is really the 50 Hz power line frequency. Many units are rated 50-60 hertz and are unhappy when the 50 Hz power line voltage is on the high side. You might check the voltage across it when in use. I would add a one ohm 5 watt dropping resistor to get the voltage to the coil down to 22 volts AC. The pump should still work but last much longer. (I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but that might really do it for you.)
Australia
240V / 50Hz
Can you put a mains operated pump?
Should be more reliable, this one is getting low volts through some step down circuit or transformer.

Na the THC dissolves the O rings haha tried using the oil in my smoke machine at a gig haha jokes...plus it went from a moshpit to a daze pit to an arm pit 😱
Yes used in coffee machines but mines out of a smoke machine. They fail a lot…well for me anyway and I clean them and use genuine fluid all to the manufactures specifications. I’ve pulled the pumps apart and I can’t find any faults: springs, o rings, valves ..etc.. all look perfect. I think the issue is the friction gets to high between the piston that goes in and out in the o ring.
Couldn’t be bothered trying to fix the issues or to create a mod for it, I just want something more reliable.
Just wondering if anyone knows about “fluid o tech” pumps I think they are better.
Cheers

You are using a diaphragm pump for smoke?
Use a gear pump, or an air amplifier...
Look up mosquito fogging machines....used to kill mosquitoes by civic bodies. Small engine driving a blower, the pesticide is blown through the pipe.
Bit noisy, but reliable.

Thankyou so much!! I'll look into it 🙂 the internals of the machine look like this:
I was thinking of the Fluid-o-tech ones as I really don't want to modify anything or if I must I want to keep the modifications to a very minimum.
