Looks a reasonably flexible unit as far as enclosure loads go. Assuming you want to run it solo, it should be happy in most variations on the vented box theme from a BR to a back-horn providing you don't want massive LF dynamic range (the latter applies to the majority of wideband drivers of its general type, so it has plenty of company on that score). So what to do with it rather depends on what objects you have in mind. (?)
Hi Scott,
Thanks.
I will first try them in my Baronet and compare to my Pencil 10.3.
Then let's see ;-)
Joachim has made a small BR speaker with those
Thanks.

Horn
Hello,
superb driver for horns, i would try it for my SCHALMEI, RDH20, POSAUNE XL or SAXOPHON
in the double horn i would prefer the Monacor SPH-210 as indirect invers driver, with luck
no crossover parts.

Well
I just put them in my Baronet......holly saints, what a nice driver, barely broken-in, already singing.(OK I'm daily user of Alpair, if you know what I mean ;-)

Hi there
I own and run Enviees for a couple of years already. One of the best divers in my book... i use a pretty conservative 35L vented box, will eventually make some pics soon. Imho it'S a FR unit for the serious listener. Of course it starts to beam the higher the frequency gets, of course it doesn'T do ground shaking 25Hz. But it really does a nice midrange, soundstaging is imO perfect.

Are you still happy with the Enviee? I'm thinking of pairing them with Acoustic Elegance woofers crossed around 150 Hz.
Thanks from a newbie.
Thanks from a newbie.
interesting full range transducer.

I guess, sonic character is better compare to this SEAS EXOTIC version

That's Seas's Exotic series W8 midbass / midwoofer. Did you mean the two F8 wideband?
4ohm: http://seas.no/images/stories/exotic/pdf_datasheet/X1-04_Exotic-F8_Datasheet.pdf

It rather depends how you define a superior 'sonic character' since the Enviee, F8 and W8 all have rather different specifications & are meant to be used differently, so a bit of an apples / oranges comparison.

Yes still in use and happy and can still heavily recommend this driver. I am not entirely sure the seas is on par to be honest... I think the enviee is one of a kind...
Cheers

You are right. The SEAS have a clearly benefit concerning an extended low frequency area (f-res around 20Hz below the Enviee).
But less precision is to be accepted in the frequency range between 60-200 Hz at this SEAS version with rubber suspension (the Enviee provide much more clean and tight sound impression in the mentioned frequency area - however, with less low-frequency playback - this character I prefer).
Some other prefer more extended low frequency character.

The last I heard from the builder (3-4 years ago) was that the Enviee was too expensive to ship to the USA.
