Triode4, I've PMed you and resent the email notification.
Please reply with the information requested via email to contact@diyaudiostore.com. Thanks.
I hope that you received my response , trying to get it paid before it's so late that I don't receive the amp until September.
Today I got a box from diyAudio Store. Invoice says "Audio Parts" 😀😀.
Very fast shipping to Spain, thanks

Mine says it’s been stuck in France for a few days FedEx still says it will be in California by Monday, so either the tracking system is jacked or the shippers are being overly optimistic. It’s fine for me if it’s not here by Monday, I can always pet the precious (vfets) till the chassis gets here.

I have some "good" news. We found your email.
Google was flagging your emails as "probably spam" but not "definitely spam", and silently reserving them outside our system awaiting manual moderation. If messages like this don't get moderated (a process we weren't aware of previously) they fall into our spam folder after a week.
Because of this, we couldn't find your email because it was neither in our helpdesk nor in our spam folder. You also didn't get warned this was happening because the default behaviour is not to tell you about it.
Summary:
- We found the problem and the fix
- We now know where your (and the other member's) emails went. We have them, and will reply shortly.
- Your email addresses have been trained into the system to "not be spam" so you shouldn't have this problem again
- If anyone else in the future sends an email that gets caught, they will be automatically told about this and emailed a warning
The "bad" news is that Hifi2000 is now closed, so your chassis won't ship until the 23rd of August. Please accept my apologies.
The operational delays at Charles de Gaulle are par for the course in today's shipping. They are awaiting enough units to share an air transport to the destination nation.
Hopefully they get to do a little sight seeing around Paris before being shut back into an air cargo hold. 😉
Welcome to international shipping in the time of COVID.

Same with mine. Fedex says operational delays.
There must be a lot of the VFET chassis sitting with Fedex in Paris - mine have been there for 4 days now.
Might be due to protests, but in general unexpected delays are happening all around the world due to COVID lockdowns, cancelled flights, less flights and ships, more demand for the small amount of cargo space that's available, cargo "traffic jams" caused thereby, accidents like the ever-given causing ripple effects, less available and longer lead times for parts and repairs.
Good news is that my parts kit made it all the way from Cincinnati OH USA to Sydney AUS on the same day by DHL express.
You might say it's a second lottery.
My parts made it from Boston to Maidstone via East Midlands Airport and Heathrow in two days. The last fifteen miles are due to take another four.
On the other hand, that's also when the chassis should arrive. And I will do a lot of reading and celebrate my birthday between now and then. The nicest present I've had in years! Thanks everyone.

The winners for round 2 have now been drawn. Congratulations to the members below.
For everyone else - thank you for participating. This was always going to be tough, with just 1 amp available for every 12 members who wanted one. Nonetheless I hope that this this exercise was a fun and entertaining (if no doubt nerve wracking) diversion from everyday life during this difficult year for you.
A reminder that this very limited supply of amplifier kits have been produced not-for-profit as a way to say thank you to everyone for their contributions over the years. There was never going to be enough for everyone to build one, but everyone was able to at least participate in the lottery.
If you missed out on getting this one - don't worry, there's more coming in the future. You'll just need a little patience. If you entered this lottery you will be given priority for those future offerings.
Any profits generated from this exercise have been and will be donated directly to the nominated registered charities. People purchasing the kits can choose to "tip" at checkout (many did) and we have donated 100% of the tip on their behalf. Many members have also made independent donations to these good causes.
If anyone else feels inclined to make a donation, please use the links on the following page so your donation can be counted towards our goal.
Donations to two great charities
So far we have raised $1,999 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and $2,137 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

NOTE: INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING FOR ROUND 2 IS DHL EXPRESS ONLY
=============================================
This round, we are requiring that all international shipments of VFETs ship with DHL Express.
Last time we drew 88 of 90 allowing 2 for shipping mistakes. We lost 4 due to problems with lower reliability services. Shipping during COVID is still fraught with problems. While the store guarantees you'll (eventually) get what you pay for no matter what service you choose, these VFETs can't be easily replaced. Nelson has graciously offered to replace the two we didn't have replacements for, from round 1.
We added DHL Express to the store's shipping options this month, spurred by the EU's July 1st changes in tax collection laws. This service is "delivered duties paid" which means no "box opening fees", no customs delays and no more to pay. DHL Express is a premium shipping service, both fast and reliable, and we have negotiated a deep discount on their rates for you. All VFET shipments are required to ship with DHL Express.
EPILOGUE
======
Thank you again to every diyAudio member for participating, their good will, and generous donations. I'm very proud of this community.
As for the future - we're always listening and learning, and will strive to improve every aspect of how we do things in the future. Right now a lot of ground work is being laid for better things in the months ahead. I hope you'll enjoy the improvements to the site, forum, and product offerings that are planned for later this year.
hello,
can someone confirm that both shipments have custom duties prepaid....?
I was under the the above impression and from the diyaudio invoice is not clear about the same...
can DIYA confirm the same?
My experience was that the DHL shipment (received, thank you!) was shipped DDP (delivered duty paid), but the Fedex shipment (currently taking a breather in France) was assessed for duties.can someone confirm that both shipments have custom duties prepaid....?
I have received an automated call from FedEx suggesting that there was some duties and/or taxes to pay for my chassis that is stuck in Charles de Gaulle but I hung up without trying to know how much it was. The parts from USA with DHL are already here and there was no taxes or duties.
Every order shipped with FedEx from our warehouse is DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid).
Based on my previous experience they should not charge anything if the value of the invoice is under 1000 USD. For Canadian customers they are always going to charge the recipient some money even if the value of the invoice is under 1000 CAD

Yes, that's about right. If you check on Fedex's website with your tracking number you can see the amount to pay (perhaps QST/HST, then Fedex puts a small administrative charge on top of that.)I have received an automated call from FedEx suggesting that there was some duties and/or taxes to pay for my chassis that is stuck in Charles de Gaulle but I hung up without trying to know how much it was. This is consistent with every shipment I have ordered from Modushop, per Gianluca's comments.
