DALE RN55 RN60 resistors in Europe

I buy my Vishay Dale 55s by mail order (internet) from Banzai Music in Berlin. Large selection.

Second that,
Banzai has nearly all the resistor values for CMF55s. Most of them are 1% and for some values 0.1%
Just little bit pricier than Mouser.

Your ears are fooling you. Any perceived differences between correctly functioning resistors will disappear in a blind listening test.
Won't he use his ears in that blind test ? 🙄

Do you have a proof?
You're clearly unaware of expectation bias and how powerful it is - go do some careful blind listening tests. What you believe about your hearing ability is nothing to do with your actual hearing ability, you'll discover.

Its like the top wine-tasters who couldn't tell if wine was red or white when blindfolded - the brain over-estimates its own acuity and cheats if the test isn't fully blinded.

Believing a test is a proof to something is still a belief.

Expectation bias work both ways.
-You can believe in something that doesn't exist.
-You can reject the existence of something while it's still there.

Are you actually wanting me to believe in your belief, which can still be questioned?

In your example, if wine tasters cannot tell differences blindfolded is not a proof that difference between wine tastes doesn't exist. Simply as that.

You wish to believe in the other side of the coin, but you still believe. You're trying questioning claims of people hearing subjective differences without realizing your psychology isn't much different than theirs.

I have proved to myself without a shadow of a doubt that I cannot hear the difference between two pices of competently designed audio equipment that have vastly different topologies, component qualities and price points. My friends who also joined in the tests came to the same conclusions.

It is your choice to enter into a scientifically rigorous test of your own ears. I did. I learnt a lot about the abilities of human perception and was humbled by the process. What I learnt has guided my audio design over the following 20+ years.

Ok, sure, but it's a proof to yourself and probably your friends. On a specific test. On a specific equipment. And specific conditions.

But overall it's not a final conclusion. My point is, your post's reader has a choice in believing your claim or not. I hope we're not questioning this.

As for my background, I've made 10 years of subjective audible study of the timbral influence of materials and components placed on different places within an audio system. Not wanting to persuade anyone in this though, unless the reader whishes it.

To my ears sounds better RN60D

What's more, where on earth do you find music that was recorded in an audio chain purely populated by RN60 resistors and not poluted by more mundane types?? Surely the hundreds of 1c metal film resistors your music has passed through must make it unlistenable? Even worse, how about all the '5532 op amps?

I'm so glad I can enjoy the experience of listening to music that was recorded and reproduced on far more mundane equipment.
