Does anyone have a schematic for this old trooper?. Sports a vintage Sanken SI-1050GL Hybrid (thankfully not blown up) but has other issues (volume control does nothing). Also, what is the preferred adhesive for reattaching the rubber outer compliance to the cone.
Post #42 has a link but I am not on their website so you will have to join it.

Thanks, tried that one, went through the joining upping rigmarole (why do they make you do that?) and found a few schematics, but none of then related to my specific bassbox. Cheers, M.
Thanks, found the Sanken data. What I'm trying to find is info on all the combining network which drives the Sanken from the speaker terminals and the role of the volume control pot and the second voicecoil connection. Cheers, M.
Do you have a dual coil subwoofer? The coils can be connected in series or in parallel. There can be a separate amplifier for each coil.
Elastic shoe repair glue (not cyanoacryl) can be used.

Preferred and safe adhesive for rubber (and even more, foam) surrounds is good quality vinyl "white" carpenter´s glue, which is water based.Does anyone have a schematic for this old trooper?. Do not apply way too much, just enough so both mating surfaces get wet.
Tap it evenly around with fingertips to ensure contact nd let dry, face up.
Solvent based adhesives more or less attack rubber (best case solvents get absorbed, rubber expands and then pull unevenly on drying) and foam straight dissolves, so avoid that.
Solvent based adhesives are fine for paper or cloth edges.
Thanks, Juan - haven't seen you around for a while. Hope Argentina is nailing the awful bug. Cheers, Mike
The hybrid amp drives one coil, the other is connected to a bunch of components which I do not know the function of. This is why I'm hunting for a schematic for unit "as built". Very mysterious!.Do you have a dual coil subwoofer? The coils can be connected in series or in parallel. There can be a separate amplifier for each coil.

Reverse engineering is a schematic of a device research.
Depending on the exact model of the M&K Volkswoofer ,it may originally have been a dual voice coil speaker and employed two amplifiers(or a servo control system).
