The whole DAC is sold completely!
-------------
I have to sell the parts of my latest DAC project.
Would like to sell the DAC as it is, but it is really huge, heavy and sensitive. The whole DAC is perfectly working and the sound is amazing. Extremely pure, clear and organic!
I guess it is realistic to ship it disassembled and well packed, but without the wooden cabinet and the glass top plate.
It is built around a self developed PCB with AD1865N-K, six completely separate class-a psu, followed by six shunt regulators and probably the best foil caps available in the psu (CDE 944U 33uF/1400V). Input is S/PDIF with AK4113 receiver (much better than CS8414 or WM8804), but I would also have an i2soverusb with the optional "super clocks".
Ouput stage is with 5687. In the whole output stage are 2W Audio Note Niobium or 2W non-magnetic Tantalum and urushi coupling cap (no cathode caps at all). The stage is wired point to point with pure silver wire and teflon sockets on a wooden board.
DAC transformers and output transformers are FINEMET from theaudiofeast. Triodes filament supply and the whole tube stage psu is also made with FINEMET transformers and chokes from theaudiofeast. All caps in the tube psu are CDE 944U 33uF/1400V too.
For loading the output transformers correctly, there is an Audio Note 100kOhm stereo potentiometer and at the output a TVC Stevens & Billington TX-102 for superior volume control.
The price for the parts only, was approx 8000$ and I realize, that it will be fair (and realistic) to sell the parts for much less, even that they are all new (except of the TVCs).

Culmination DAC vs Audio Note UK DAC 4.1x Signature
My DAC was compared to a Level 4 Audio Note DAC by an experienced guy and he chose the Culmination 😉

Can you share how the sound is?
All components are very good stuffs.
XT40 connectors from RC hobby
Those yellow connectors are XT40, that are used in RC cars and planes for battery connection.

can I ask, what are the yellow connector blocks you have used on this beautiful DAC?
