OS,
The level of commitment you have to refining this project into being the best design around is applaudible.
I'm having fun, and learning so much from watching this process evolve, and that's what this forum is all about.
I'm looking forward to your build guide/ documents.
P. S. When you said your Pitbull approved... Were you talking literally about your dog? Slightly off topic(OK, alot) but how about a pic?

I agree to disagree here, no magic there just technic.Ask KT about that.
- You might not get the PPM performance you expect.
-Just making it short is BS. Cancellation on it's return (and the total loop)
After 50 papers and 100 schemas ( 10 PM's) there is a type of magic here
which does not involve the shortest NFB path.
I respect your symmetric CFA thread , it will be assimilated by the BORG.
The Hellraiser(SMD) will have DADOD in it .... 😀

First of all I would not do layout in this way, it askes for to much compromisis.
I'm banned. No its not. Watch the youtube video.
Please look at post 814.
Its all fixed in the attached file.
I don't watch google. I cant. Google thinks I hack.
I dont need google. 1.1M songs / 45K 1080 P movies.
Come now a Carrington event. Let it happen.

He is a pure brendal pit , very nice.
I design , he wants to tug on the fat rope ... such a good boy.
Knocks my arm when I make traces. ... oh , well - I still love him.
If he knew to make the amps , I'm sure he would help. 😀
PS - he is "zuko" and I love him. perfect. I did not like dogs 3 years ago.

Lol, I'm sure he would help too. I currently have a chocolate Labrador Retriever. He'd keeps my feet warm!
I got my 4 year old son assembling snap together circuits for kids, with the hope that one day he'll be my helper, lol.
If you go full modular, you free up room under the IPS. Most of the front end regulators would fit there under, freeing up valuable real estate right at the middle of the board, shortening quite a few tracks. Your most valuable location is kind of wasted by auxilliary circuits right now.
You are a youngun ' ... my kids are 17 -31.
I'm trying to download my 57 years into a blowout project for this forum.
I'm in awe of Canadians. Cold is cool !!
The healthcare options are slim here ... I'm just about crippled with no
no options because I live here. I'd be better in Cuba. I cant feel my my hands
or legs , I can move them ... but I can't feel them.
PS - Here they say pray for your health. No $ to cover that.

Just because I'm curious, have bad skills in LT and I've about 500/each in stock from an old repair shop that stopped business... How would the EF3 perform with the 2SC3423/2SA1360-combination as predrivers? Also how'd the IPS-boards perform with them in the VAS - I know those are legendary VAS-semis.

If you do not add to the economy , you are expendable.
I could be added to the 1M americans. I'm not sure if I am one of those.
I want to go to Canada .... I don't want to be in this dystopia.
It's a dystopian nightmare here now ... but I still love my pit.

Too naughty?...
Maybe I shouldn't waste your time with my opinion, feel free to scroll over...
Pete is the topic starter, the master of desaster and thus responsible for a design to bring a new diyA amp to the community - if and when his design is accepted by diyA staff. I saw a lot of worthful input from e.g. Stu, KT and others and you (=community) reached a design maturity that is exceptional for diy.
BUT: Having a particular design open to community discussion will always lead to "but you could" or "one never would" etc. from any more or less experienced member. Sure all this can be worthful, sure you can discuss how a single trace's width could improve THD by 0.1ppm... bla, I just think it's time for Pete to conclude and fix the design. It's modular, open to a variety of BOM part options and should go live now... am I wrong?
Every builder is free to mod the schematics and/or PCB to meet his personal needs as I do - but we should leave the room for more valuable discussion once this baby is alive and singing.
Just my 2 pence

Ugh, sad but about as well as you can put it. Not sure what it's going to take to shake some sense back into this country.
On a plus note, sourced some 992s and 1845s and just want to add that following this thread has been an amazing insight into how projects are developed and I have learned a ton. Thank you to all that contributed and shared with us.

We share similar problems in that regard. Spine Injury 17 years ago when I was 19 years old! While the health care was all covered (either through MCP or my Insurance), It never resolved the issues I've been having. Lots of Oxycontin thrown my way though, not that it fixes anything!
Sorry for the derail, back to business. 🙂
Back to business.
Sorry to rant.
The OPS and the Wolverine are the "to do" things.
Stuart says there is alignment issues .... there was a tiny one at
the IPS UMS.
On that UMS , any opinions on the chassis based G plane I placed there ?
It's not hooked to any OPS (G1/2) .... just more mechanical rigidity.
The OPS is first and simple (trace wise) , just power, mechanical, and thermal
considerations to worry about.
The Spooky is also done...

I like how the ground plane is grounded to the heatsink though the screw.Sorry to rant.

Question.
You removed one row from the header. So that removed 2.54mm from the width.
Were was it removed from?
One suggestion would be to move the VAS area including Q107, Q108 to the left that 2.54mm to gain more room in the PSU area.
This would allow you to put R113 down next to R110.

NO more changes !
Errors in what there is , OK.
I'm moving on to sourcing and documentation.
Added KSA708C/KSA1008C to both IPS component lists.
Below is the payload and the files.
Any help with Docs appreciated. No more messin' around.
PS -IPS template made from the spook is on the main PCB , also as a .lay.
Edit - TE connectivity 6-535541-0 female/ 1-826629-2 male for the SIP's , when mated - a nice 10mm(1CM) final height.
