DIY Sony VFET lottery discussion

As someone else put it, I’m humbled and thankful!

I have just spent a very serious meeting just grinning ear to ear. Huge thanks to the DIY community, to Papa Nelson, to Jim, Jason, Mark and everyone that put so much effort and thought into this.

I will try to raise up to the expectations and do justice to this magnificent project.

Congrats to all the winners, and good luck to everyone on the second phase!

I am so excited! Thanks again,
Rafa.

Have nothing but humble gratitude to Nelson and everyone whom made this possible, the only redeeming qualification for my blind luck of having a winning ticket is that this amp will be joining a family of other wonderful amps of which a few are Nelson design.

With my single ticket I can only see myself as the exemption that proved that it was possible.

Wow, I'm truly excited about this opportunity. I really had just about zero expectations.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a reality (especially to Mr Pass, who is like a benevolent grandfather/uncle).

I'm grateful to be in this gem of a community. The teaching, mentoring, and camaraderie one finds here are priceless.

Great job!

I can echo the comments by others.

I was not initially able to get into the site to be considered a part of the lottery, but Jason did a heroic job of assessing my situation and concluded that I had a good case and decided to include me based on that review. With all the work associated with this lottery, he did an outstanding job to get all this done, and include even us who fell through the cracks!

I can feel the love....

Thanks to Jason, Nelson Pass and DIY Audio for this great idea and an amazing job done!
My sincere congratulations to all the winners! Will be fun to watch the reports of the builds of these VFET amps.

It was a blast to take part in the lottery and you never know, maybe I will be lucky in lottery number 2...

All the best and enjoy your music,

Norbert

Well done to all the lottery organizers ! This was challenging but ran super smooth from my side. All the best for winners !

And above all:
- thanks to all for sharing so much experience and advices,
- thanks to Nelson for offering unobtanium to the community 🙂

I will have to drive to some happy winner to listen the magic ;-)

Thank you and congratulations to Nelson, Jason and to all of you!

I did not win, but it does absolutely not matter! Some others deserved it much much more and the lottery process was exemplary!

This forum is a good example how international exchange is beneficial for everyone and it is a joy to communicate in such a positive environment!

Regards and keep up the good work!

Vfet SE

Congrads to all who won. As I have several Sony vfets 2J/2K also some 1J/1K and a good stash of NEC vfets, all curve traced, I did not enter the lottery and won't enter in the second one either to give a chance to those who are less lucky. However, I would like to have a chance to purchase both types of boards (P and N versions) so I can build SE versions of vfet amps. The V chassis would be a plus too, if available in the future but it is not a priority. So, I am hoping that there will be sufficient number of boards available to purchase so I won't feel like a bastard child and forgotten.
