Looked around in this part of the forum but could not detect a thread about high impedance in ear headphones.
Currently I am using a Sennheiser HD650 headphone for my headphone amplifier which is an absolutely great headphone. But it is an over the ear type and after listening during a long time ( 20-30 min.) it becomes a little bit uncomfortable.
So I want to purchase also a headphone which is an in ear type but all the types I see on the internet are low impedance around, 30 Ohms sometimes even lower.
Are there in ear headphones which have an impedance around 80 to 100 Ohm or preferably higher?

Perhaps the issue is to get high sound levels from a higher impedance voice coil requires a larger coil and more physical size to move?
Also the in-ear tends to be "on the move" market which means digital thus low impedance. The same marketing bods also love the idea of selling expensive headsets for on the move along with expensive mobile head amps for the same reason?

Yes, I was already afraid that there isn't a headphone which fulfills the high impedance wish.
I have seen some types on AliExpress but I am hesitating to order one because I am not convinced that when the write "150 Ohm" it is really that imepance.
For instance this one:

Headphones can have wide range of impedance. My 55ohm AKGs actually span up to 800ohm IIRC depending on the frequency. Typically the state the lowest impedance found but.. AliExpress = caveat emptor. x10^6 in my book.

AliExpress...... 😀
O.K. 55 Ohm AKG then. Which one do you prefer if I may ask?

I've had these for years for Reason and V-Drums. My AKGs are over-ears by the way not in-ear.
Not sure I'd categorise them as audiophile. The HP OTL amp I'm designing is to target down to 32ohm but I could tune for higher voltage too. Overkill for the poor AKGs but I have plans that it will possibly drive a pair of 2a3s in the future.
They're perhaps described as 'non-offensive' they have a bit of a bass boost and with the wrong drive.
I have a pair of Sony in ears, very different - muddy, bass boosted but those are for phone/on a plane. However they're the only in-ears that seem to sit properly in my ears (apple ones just fall out).
Will be interesting seeing how they both perform on the new amp.. once it's built.
