Wow - seems to be a very interesting kit. Thank you Nelson and the rest of you who made this possible!
I, for one, am happy and elated at this news. Why?
Other than the problems and issues of the world around us, this tiny space here known as diyaudio.com is an escape from all that. And we are fortunate enough to be insulated enough from most worries.
The introduction of a new Nelson Pass kit to the diyaudio store at a fair price point with a the generous donation to worthy charities supported by the sales. The use of a very limited supply of specialized components. The novel idea of bring all these ideas and bring all of this to fruition. The physical work behind matching and partially building the devices.
All for a small and diverse community that fills threads with constructive viewpoints, fair questions, and nice ways of voicing an opinion about %THD.
Nelson Pass and the long list of other fine minds working with him designing the circuit, the case, and testing all at no cost to us. Far more less notable designers of audio gear wouldn't even bother share designs (let alone share tangible items) with a diy community and instead would run with the profit made from the mark up.
Wow.
So maybe be grateful in your remarks. This is a hobby for everyone here. The whole idea, the sharing, the kit, and effort behind this all ought to be exciting and happy news.
And yes, you are entitled to your opinions on other topolgies with "superior" distortion numbers or why you won't purchase a unit (whether it be for the circuit design, looks, charity being supported, or whatever) or about vaccines. Absolutely, go ahead and have your opinion, but consider airing your stronger opinions in the lounge... or maybe just giving your keyboard a rest and letting a bunch of DIY'ers have a happy pass-labs moment.

It will be good to setup an UTC clock. It would not be fun to get one hour too late.....or what if internets is down? 🙂 ....maybe a phone backup using the GSM network directly and not the WiFi......just in case or just a phone setup as "hot spot" 🙂
For a dual mono configuration then two PSU filter boards are needed and 2x input power connectors......and an extra SMPS. Only one chassis is probably OK.....now they are limited.....

Would a Jfet front-end driving a Mosfet Mu-follower work? It sounds amazing...

This might be a silly question, but would the Tokin VFETs (2SK180, 2SK182 andTHF51S) work in this design as well?
Wow! Thank you Nelson Pass - and everyone who made this possible. I hope that all participants gets a kit.🙂
