Among others they are selling parts from Rochester, they have plenty of 2SC3503E and 2SA1381E in stock, at the moment a lot of them.

According to the datasheet these are genuine Sanyo parts, grade “E”
Minimum quantity is 925 each part at a very good price.
Maybe some would like to start a group buy or sell some in the Swap thread?

I find it quite misleading that the manufacturer is quoted as being "ON SEMI" in the product description, dunno if ON ever made these though...

Far from it. Rochester is VERY well known in military and industrial operations as the "after Last Buy" supplier. You got a paper mill, or a B72, or something worth a million bucks an hour, idle because a "$2 chip" or "$0.23 transistor" failed. And the original supplier quit making it. And sold the inventory. Usually ends up at Rochester. Rochester has been in the business of buying end-of-production stocks much of my life. The minimum order _is_ $250 to get Rochester interested. (Yup, someone rounded-down this time.) If you got a million dollar failure you can't complain a few hundred bucks minimum.

The original Sanyo parts are long gone now. What is available is produced by shady manufacturers.
In the era of CRT display, the Japanese made plenty of video transistors. ON Semi did not make a single one. In fact, ON Semi has not made any transistors for audio use.
Why don't you stick to poetry?
