The drivers have been used for testing only, 2.8v sweeps. Shipping costs to the US from Au will make the cost unattractive.
Get the plastic-framed 10f from Mad. Same FG cone, surround, coil.
Just pad them down less(weaker magnet,lower spl/v).
In that usage, really the same(even same max spl).
Hard to beat new for 29$

No, there's a cheap plastic framed version of the 10f.
Interestingly the driver you have is what I would consider as a cheap alternative to the 10f/4424G00, assuming it's a from scratch project, but I didn't mention it as this is the buy sell section and we're into serious thread jacking territory now. Also I don't have experience with it so will decline to comment. I left that comment for anyone new to the hobby who heard the 10F was great to prevent them from being mislead into thinking a cheap alternative was just the same, when they have very little performance characteristics in common.

they meant the early 10F/8414-00 which was a predecessor I guess of the improved -g10 version and of the ultimate (for both $s and the performance) the 8424 (and the 4ohm 4424).

Hi, can you expound on this? What makes you say that it is an utter piece of trash?
He may be confusing it with an earlier plastic-framed 10f, which had the more humble cone and soft parts of a TC9.
And, of course, that infradig plastic frame.
(I was referring to the FiberGlass cone of the 10f metal-framed models when I wrote FG. The TG have a similar cone from a different source)
