Hi, I have some of these tubes, I would like to know what your opinions are on on this version also in general.... and with which polarization they perform best.
I would like to start using one in a follower cathode of a preamp.
Is a voltage of 270v, grid at -3 / 3.5 and current of 5 / 6mA suitable?
Or is it advisable to have a higher current and a grid .. type at -2?

They look like Russian military grade tubes but you better make sure they are not "Chinese repros " as they are advertised originating in China as well --get the Russian manufactured ones .
Gold pin Mullard tubes were used in UK CRT tuner sections for low pin resistance needed when dealing with VHF/UHF frequencies .
I have several small ones used them in front end communication receivers.
If Russian fighter jets used them then they must be reliable but that's down to who you buy them from?
Get direct from Novosibirsk factory ( Russia ) you should be okay.

The standard operating conditions of a genuine Russian 6n1P , are not the same as an American /British =6DJ8 or ECC88.
It is intended as a cathode driver /line audio amplifier so yes can be used as you want it to be used in your post.
1-heater -6.3 Volts /600ma.
2-anode/plate current-7.5ma.
3-GM ( gain ) 4.35ma/V
4-u=35
5-Pa=2.2Watts
Its more like the 6BQ7A so a grid of -2 would be near and a much lower anode/plate voltage than 270 Volts is used .
There is a "ruggerised " version =6N1P-EV .
Two models of AR amplifiers use them for excellent low distortion /low noise - Sovtek/Svetlana are two brand names but watch out many "copies " of both , the Voskhod plant in Kaluga is the main manufacturer.

...i have a last question!
I put two adjustable ccs (c4s) in place of the rk..on the follower cathode with the 6n1p-ev gold pin gold grid.
I have adjusted both ccs for 3.5mA.
Measuring I find one grid at -2.9 / -3 and the other at -3 / -3.1.
Hoping that a value of -3 is not too high ..
..is it better to leave them set to equal current but with slightly different grid negatives or do I adjust them to read different currents but equal grid negatives?
