Quest for the perfect amp! Ordered TPA3255 from Dr mordor 🙂
First of all, thank you for the answers to my beginner questions in a previous thread!
It helped me decide to go for Dr mordor's amplifier TPA3255 which i'm awaiting in anticipation.
Now i'm researching on where to go from there! Hope some of you can help me with this 🙂
So i have an Akurate DS as my DAC/Streamer. This has inbuilt digital volume control, and XLR outputs that i'm going to feed dr mordors amp with.
However, if i want more inputs on this amplifier i presume i have to add an input selector board in the back. And maybe a volume control pot. How do i wire these things up?
And can i buy some of the already premade boards on ebay without messing up the sound quality? 🙂
Would love to add bluetooth as well, but i know this can bring its own problems!
Thanks guys!

Would something like this work?
tinyurl.com/hby5m2tf
Or would this be a better option?

Combined with motorized pot
I really have no idea how to make something like this, but i'm pretty good with a soldering iron 🙂

Selector Switch & Volume Control: Input Selector – Neurochrome
"The Input Selector is a relay-based input selector which supports the selection of one of up to six stereo inputs. It can be used as a passive preamp by adding a volume control, such as the Selector Switch & Volume Control. An active preamp, or a preamp with gain, can easily be implemented with this Input Selector by adding my Universal Buffer. This will result in a preamp with six stereo inputs and both balanced and unbalanced outputs. Balanced inputs can be implemented with the Universal Buffer as well. The control input to the Input Selector is compatible with 3.3 – 5.0 V CMOS logic levels. This makes the Input Selector easy to interface to the many popular micro controller circuits, such as the Arduino.
The 45 × 112 mm gold-plated PCB is made in Canada."

I'm using this kit with my Sure Audio T-AMP: HIFI remote control volume board Relay version 128 levels Exponential constant input impedance JV8|Home Automation Kits| - AliExpress
BUT!!! It's a kit, need soldering. The SMD part's soldering is tricky. Another problem is the impedance. Most of Class D amp need 10K impedance volume controller, for this need change the resistors.

Thanks! This is a new world to me, and i'm learning a lot! 🙂
With Dr mordors amp, can i use volume control on the SE inputs, and skip the input selector and/or the volume control the XLR inputs? I really want to mess the least amount of signal, and my XLR output player has inbuilt volume control 🙂

Whats the link to the product you purchased, this Dr Mordor...I think this may be an option for me to power my project...at least for the lower bass and mid bass...I always thought class A for my compression driver tweeters but maybe class D is the new standard?
