You can't fight physics, so going old school with the proper sized box should give you an efficient, low distortion project.

Just something like that- Is there any measurement data from previous builds on these?
I know very well, as running a PA rental company, but I found the original 620 boxes a bit to wide In the front to be decent placed in a living room.
