I'm a novice at amp assembly, and posting on this forum, but looking to buy or build something based on the Ncore NC252MP amps. The only Ncore kit I can find is based on the Ncore NC400 which is beyond my needs and budget. Are there any kits out there that use the 252?
Thanks for any help you can give.

Have a look at the ICEpower modules.

Thanks, I have seen the ICEpower mentioned often but have no idea which models to start looking at. I am looking to do a 3 channel amp for LCR of similar or better quality than the Ncore252.

It’s a shame on the ncore mains powered modules that there’s not an easy way to bypass the input buffer. Anyone tried & compared with TPA3255?

Ncore MP series, sound very well for the price ) I own almost all TPA3255 (high end modules included, DrMordor, Jlester etc) and they also sound good.
The Ncore MP series are using some Genuine OP Amps 5532 in their buffer. If you have good solder skills, you can update it (since they are in soic8 socket).
The stock Ncore MP modules perform very very well, updating their Buffer is not necessary.
Theoretically : the NC252MP exceeds all TPA3255 on the market, even the most high-end (DrMrodor, XRK, Jlester, SHD etc)

I agree 100%...
It appears hypex has now updated the data sheets for the NC_MP series to show how to bypass the buffers. It says changing the gain is not supported, but I'm guessing it might actually be the same as described in the NC500 Evaluation Board data sheet on page 4?

Cool - aren’t some of the DrMordor, XRK, Jlester TPA3255 designs achieving much better SINAD than ncore?
I’d be interested to hear subjective listening impressions.

I own lots of TPA325X amps and all Hypex Ncore Mp series + Purifi dual mono.
I had a crush with my NC252MP fitted with an Audiophile grade AC filter ... I don't know if it's the result of chance, but I get chills every time I listen to it )
This amp is so quiet that I'm unable to tell if it's OFF or ON (if i don't look at the led 🙂lol)
I think this is the only DIY amp I have made that is absolutely immune to electro magnetic disturbances (bluetooth, wifi). I am convinced that this anti EMI / RFI AC filter has something to do with it ... my NC500MP + NC502MP mounted without this filter are much more sensitive to Bluetooth and Wifi emissions when I stream wirelessly.

SHUI YUAN TPA3255
DRMORDOR TPA3255

Agreed. Even if you harvest the NC122MP from the FusionAmp plate which is not OEM, compared with some of the top tier TPA3255 designs + power supply, they are still in roughly in the same cost ballpark $300-400 all said and done. Still a spread of course, and the 3255 can be had for less, but would love to hear some impressions of the two. The big TPA3255 threads have some passing mentions of how it sounds, but have to dig.

So you’re suggesting the NC252mp is your favourite, but only with the AC filter? What brand is the AC filter any link?
I have Purifi modules, but have not yet completed my Jlester 3255 build.

Everything is a question of budget in the end ...
if I had to spend 450 euros on an amp, I would take NC252MP.
If you want to spend less than 150E, the Shui Yuan + the DIY mods is a great deal (it is really close to the Jlester). To my ears, the Jlester sounds better than the Drmordor but is more expansive....
here the AC filter I am using :

The shui yuan is pretty amazing for the price!

Let us know how your get on with your Purifi buffers from Italy (link?)
Any URL for that ac filter?

I'm not going to argue about that, as I lack a basis of comparison.
But what about the ICEbricks Engine-400?
I think the DIM30 test looks pretty good.
(DIM30 3, 15kHz square wave + 15kHz sine wave vs power 4ohm)
290£ for a two channel board, needs a dual rail supply.

Agree on the TPA3255, value for money, but it's not the ultimate.

Pay attention here, the NC122 Fusion Amp is pretty different from the NC122MP OEM. They don't have the same Frequency response, so if you intend to use the Fusion Amp for HIFI use... I would avoid
