I have an itch to build something and my thinking has landed on an ACA with a Dallas 2 horn. Still to decide on FE206En vs FE206e Sigma, probably a separate thread....
Is the ACA a well-matched amp for these speakers? Should I be thinking of monoblocks or will one SE be enough?
It's a bedroom system so likely listening levels not too loud. Room is approx. 8m x 4m with a sloping ceiling.

I would say you will be OK.
I use an F6, so a little bit more power, but never turned very high.
Into Jericho horns with FE206e Sigma drivers. (similar design to your DallasII)
Sounds great to me in quite a big room. (Note, I am not trying to recreate a full orchestra, or Grand Funk Railway!)
I have driven the F6s with passive attenuator , 10K pot. But they sound better with a preamp. Pass F3pre being used.

I meant to say that my choices for the Dallas 2 were FE206En or FE208e Sigma.
I read somewhere that the FE208e Sigma really needed to be paired with a T90a, but the FE206En didn't. Any views on that appreciated as it makes that option rather expensive.

The FExxx like to see a high output impedance amplifier so a pair of bridged/balanced monobloks with its 1.8Ω Rout is best suited.
Dallas I is one of the 3 enclosures i recommend for these drivers.

I have Fostex FE 208 Sigma (the old ones, without "E") into Jericho Horns like ColinA123. Room currently about 18 m^2, but had them in a 40 m^2 room before. My 2A3 SE tube amp with its 3W is plenty - never got it to run out of steam, even in the big room. Have tried an ACA as well; absolutely fine, as is a roughly 6W EL84 push-pull amp. You should be fine with the power from a single ACA.
That said; planet10's advice is very good as well - an amp with low output mpedance / high damping factor could overdamp the Fostex a bit. So a bridged amp with its higher output impedance / lower damping factor lets them breathe more freely.
But you could give both variants a try - I do like the sound with a single ACA as well.

Maybe not the same but I have a Fostex 168EZ Sigma on a BIB (64 inches tall and 9 inches wide). I own many amps including digital, class AB, class D, single ended 6L6, single ended EL34, single ended 6550, single ended KT88, push pull EL34, 300B SET, and 2A3 SET and tried them all on my BIB. All sounded good but when I built the ACA mono blocs with premium parts, never heard my BIB to sing as good, ever.
I am afraid to try my Aleph J on my BIB because I might not move the Aleph to my main system again. However, I am currently building the M2x, when done I will experiment again. Godspeed.
