Rain, rain and more rain.
My snow shovel looks to be safe again. Not sure if that's good or bad. I kinda like the fluffy stuff.

If I get the time I will post a picture. (Cal doesn't like my toaster pictures!) It is tiny about one centimeter. A rough surface and attracted to a magnet. I would have expected a smooth surface from its' travels, so it could just be I found a pebble.
I don't want to get all "it's cold today" up in here, but in 12 hours, it will be -17 F, with a wind chill of -35 F. I don't know how to make the conversion from furlongs to cubits, but that's cold in any language.
About -27c quite cold. Very nice weather for a cup of cocoa.

Once said a man
Catching raindrops in a pan
So glad you found a rock Simon, the alternative would not have been very pleasant.

Woke up to -29C and that unusual ice crystals symbol on the Env Can website. Luckily I only have 1 errand to do today.
Only -6C today and 2cm more white stuff!
My wife's 11 years old Citroen C4 1.6 stagnated last week... It emptied battery during night and with new battery it doesn't start. I jump started it with my son and all kinds of fault messages started blinking. Power steering and ASB are off, cabin fan not working etc. I drove it to service, I had made an appointment already last week. We saw two faulty cars being hauled or towed too, a new Volvo and an old Ford... But my new BMW X3 30e PHEV is flawless!

That's what we called Lapponian mold.
Those of you who get 'real' winters will be amused that a stratospheric warming event is about to render the UK immobile again.
Well at least you do not have to worry about glaciers taking out your hydro dams, wow Mother Earth in action and we are the ants.
Mother Earth in action and we are the ants.
A healthy perspective.
I’m more inclined to the analogy of humankind being a virus to which Gaia and a self aware AI long envisioned will eventually join forces to eradicate.

I saw that on the news and wondered if they had not done their homework before sticking a dam there.
Someone got there already. Kaylon planet. "Kaylon were constructed by a species known only as the "Builders," a biological people who considered them to be slaves and controlled them via pain simulators. When the Kaylon became self-aware, they violently overthrew and killed all Builders."analogy of humankind being a virus to which Gaia and a self aware AI long envisioned will eventually join forces to eradicate.
As the saying goes, nothing is original. Didn't Shakespeare use Ancient Greek's and Roman's writings as precedents?what Sci fi TV borrowing off other scifi tv. Never would have imagined that 🙂
Tom: Was that daytime high or nightime low? Either way reet parky as they say in the north of UK.
It intrigues me how many of the classical story lines started. Most civilisations have the same set of stories. But where did they start, and did they evolve back and forth along the trading routes to finally become what was written down.Didn't Shakespeare use Ancient Greek's and Roman's writings as precedents
