I had my old amp finally die on me. My setup does not work well with a centrally-located stereo amplifier. But I do not have room for full size monoblocks. I looked into the small class D board amps, but none of them sound musical to me. I know of the old Marantz monoblocks, but they all suffer capacitor issues now. I've heard of the small Odyssey monoblocks, but know nothing about Odyssey. I'm just wondering if there are other small footprint Class A B monoblocks I'm not aware of? I would prefer to keep it under $750 per monoblock. I would prefer at least 100 watts per Channel, as one pair of my speakers is only 80 DB efficient. Thank you for any advice!

You may be able to use two stereo amplifiers that are each bridged (one per channel),
if they can drive the load. Each amplifier channel will see only half the speaker impedance.
But the rated power (per channel) will quadruple in the bridged connection, provided
that the amplifier can drive the load. An 8R rated amp would need to be able to drive 4R.
A 4R rated amp would need to be able to drive 2R.

That is possible, however I do have 4 ohm load loudspeakers. Meaning they would be driving two ohm stereo loads, when bridged on a 4 ohm load.
Right, but some amplifiers are rated for 2R loads. This option at least increases the range of choices possible.
Have you measured the actual speaker system impedance? Many are mostly higher impedance than their rating.

Emotiva would love to sell you two HC-1 monoblocks. They are an SMPS PS and class AB amplifier stages. They are half-width, or perhaps less, just what you need. $699 each.

Consider hypex 180 hxr modules, each with a separate connex power supply,in separate cases, controlled by a Pete Millett Nutube preamp. I have this driving my ATC SCM11 v2 and it sounds sublime.

Seem to fit the need very well, if they sound good. There's a trial available. Power is certainly no issue.
