Hello,
So we should go for maximum two kids in each family policy.
No more pregnancies after 35 years because bigger possibility for complications.
Maximum two divorces for a lifetime.
Before getting married people should get a test to find out if they can face the task.
A maximum of one cat or dog for every household living within city limits.
Everyone should know some basic things about their next door neighbours.
Whenever there is a kid in the house that doesnt yet attend primary school both parents are not allowed to work fulltime.
Parents with kids in primary school will get the illustrated hardcover edition of Alice in wonderland. If parents cannot read it aloud at least one of them will get free education to learn this.
Parents with kids younger than 18 are not allowed to smoke at home. They are allowed to grow medical weed to make extra money if money is to tight to mention.
Every house should have a stereo set to enjoy music. The government will provide a list of 2000 ( audio) books and every household can make their own selection, let us say 200 pieces. When proof is delivered the books are '' consumed '' a new choice can be made.
Greetings, Eduard
Are you wanting to take the world back to the Bronze Age?
Good luck...

Excellent idea. And be sure to play music to your weed, as we all know plants like music.😀

I can't work out if this is bad satire or you are serious. If the former, please don't quit the day job.
I'm glad I'm not Dutch😀

I’m sure it was. You want satire? How’s this... “Children will now come with licensing requirements. Licenses cost $150,000 for the first one and $250,000 for each one thereafter.”
And about requirements for each household to have a stereo system - real audio equipment will be BANNED. You are only allowed to have a bluetooth “smart speaker” capable of a maximum of sixty-eight decibels, and only stream music over the internet. Too much piracy going on. Gotta stop that. And vacuum tubes use excessive energy. And you can’t annoy the neighbors, either.

With UK divorce laws, the threat of ONE divorce is enough to put a lot of men off marriage, no marriage, no multiple divorces.
What a strange comment
It was in response to post #159 " Maximum two divorces for a life time ", I learned the easy way, hearing about others and google.
Well in addition to being a strange walk through intrusive overlords this has nothing to do with "audiophile" equipment engineering mistakes. If overpopulation is your concern the answer is clear:

Hello,
Those with a wife or a girlfriend have an extra factor to consider when making again a huge investment in their gear.
I have heard stories about being forced to bribe the other one to be able to make yet another small term investment. Usually it will be used for a short time before a new things enters the sponsored sites.
Going from a midi set to a real set is an investment . Once you have two kids ( just one kid cold feel lonely) what is the use to have a third one because the experience is already there. Comparing the cost of kid number 3 to real audio set in terms of satisfaction and return on investment could be a bit hard but rewarding.
If you wanna surround yourself with kids start working as a volunteer in kindergarten.
Greetings, Eduard

I already adhere to these rules.
Don’t tell me the only speaker you have in the house is an Alexa! Now THATS the biggest audiophile engineering mistake ever made.
Going back to the origins of this thread, I recently acquired a Music Fidelity Electra E10 ( a work college was going to bin it because of a buzz on one channel ), my intention was to replace the power caps, and if this didn't work just use the casework, switches etc with a cheap class d board. So I replaced the two 10,000 uf 35v caps with multiple smaller 35V caps. When this was done I decided to check the voltage - 40 volt. So I replaced all the replacement caps. At least it now works ok, but WHY did Music Fidelity use 35v caps? It's a wonder they lasted as long.
Hello,
Musical fidelity was also the company that brought as a famous class A amplifier that got to hot to keep functioning for a long time.
There are some audiophile brands to focus to much on sound and if you bring it for repair to qualified repair man he will you that some things have been completely wrong.

Musical Fidelity made some very good sounding gear but boy the devices were full of design errors, some even dangerous. Using underrated caps was standard.
To all those judging others life choices I would like to point out that you are being exceedingly blinkered in your comments and should start to think twice before typing.
On that topic I don't have an opinion except that there are simply too much human beings already depleting the planets resources and the birth rates in some regions are extreme. This is what drives the energy transition if I am not mistaking.
It is cold math that there won't be enough food, clean water, energy etc. if the population grows even larger. It will result in many people wanting to go to other places i.e. migration which is not a solution. When the cold math is ignored and religion, cultural influences etc. find their way then one is always right.
Double the worlds population and then arrange everybody to live with least possible impact on resources and it will make no difference. It is in the numbers.

Blinkered philistine pig ignorance?T..you are being exceedingly blinkered in your comments ...
I love it when Alexa and Siri get drunk together. Sometimes the lady from Google maps stops by to ask for directions, it all gets silly after that.Don’t tell me the only speaker you have in the house is an Alexa!
