I'm repairing an Audiobahn a2800e, and someone has robbed the cooling fan and rca jack out of it, as well as a bunch of misc screws. If a picture is needed, I'll take one when my replacement rectifiers come in and I get back to working on it.
Does anyone have any Audiobahn parts amps they could sell?

Does it have some sort of sentimental value?
Why would you spend any money on repairing an amp that has so little value?

In high school, all my friends and I could afford was audiobahn. Mostly sentimental. There is getting to be quite a following for them though, the audiobahn groups on Facebook pay some pretty surprising prices for them. Plus, it's practice.
That's a good enough reason. I can't believe that anyone would would pay anything significant for an old Audiobahn.
I've seen some crazy things. The KP-500 was my first head unit. I thought that I might buy one for old-times sake... until I priced them. $500 is common.

Yeah, after I messaged you I went and looked up how much the audiobahn amps were going for. A lot of the larger ones have sold for 3 to $500. Obviously this one is smaller but oh well. I would rather screw up on this than one of my rockfords. It'll probably just end up sitting on the wall or going to one of my old school cars for a period build.
McMaster.com will have virtually any of the hardware that you'll need. I used the 4-40 in place of the 3mm screws because I always had plenty on hand. The fans that they used moved very little air. If you can find someone who wants it, to use in a car, I'd order a better fan.
Thanks for the help. I'm getting another similar one in the mail today, I'll pull it apart and use it as a reference. Got about 8 amps apart so far, waiting for parts! Love repairing them so far, just need to rig up a test bench or test car to try them in.
Get a limiting adjustable power supply as a test bench, if push came to shove a 2a or 5a cheap supply would be better than a car or car battery. You can potentially make things much much worse real fast allowing it to just feed it all the amperage it wants. Been there, done that, never again ha.
With that said I have a few audiobahns and a plethora of parts from multiple different amps. If you can not find what you need, post pics and I probably have them. I as well hold Audiobahn sentimental as well I didn't know better hahaha.

I do have an adjustable power supply, I'm actually working on another Audiobahn that is going into protection once it hits over 6v....handy having the adjustments to see whats going on.
I can't really get pics of what's missing on this one, but I'll send you pics of the board from it and the fan from another amp that seems to be the same.
Do you check your PM?

Start a new thread if you need help with another amp.
I find using a series current-limiting resistor more consistent than a current limit on a power supply.

I have no new messages? I'll look also for any gut shots online.
I do test my amps as well I suppose in my vehicles after confirmed on the work bench. 1 vehicle I can do up to 1500watts and my other can do up to 5000watts rms not boss numbers 😂.
I hope my power supply is accurate to the tenth I set it at as it was around $500 when I purchased used, it is the supply I use to do anodizing and that is a crucial process. One thing my supply does and I'm not sure they all do but it starts throttling amp draw a few tenths prior to it reaching the set max and actually holds back about .2 if a substantial draw is taking place so it does not surpass max allowed ever. I do like newer ones that have a on/off switch for just the power out terminal instead of having to shut the supply completely down or ripping the cord out. However I am going to looking into what Perry has mentioned as well for another method and never hurts.
