Can anyone help please, I wish to buy an obsolete I/C from "Mercado Libre". As far as I can see, they only ship to Argentina and I have no contact there.
The I/C costs about £12 if iv'e worked out the currency there correctly.
Thanks,
Mike.

This chip is from an early cd player from Marantz / Philips.
I have a feeling that it was an early version?
Marantz cd273 or similar.

There is an enthusiastic and talkative member of diyAudio who appears to live in Argentina: his home page Maybe if you sent him a box of home made cookies or a bottle of adult beverages from your local producers, he might become motivate to help you with this difficulty (??)
Marantz CD273 use the MAB8441 T082 - go to the images underThis chip is from an early cd player from Marantz / Philips.

MAB8441 T164 are not often to find - I know only the NSM driver board and the Krell CD-DSP so as old MICROMEGA top loaders ("SOLO", "DUO", "TRIO")

I want to know, which "Txxx" version is suited for replace the "T164" (possibly at the expense of some disadvantages in terms of operation commands) ?

Hi, I'd like to help you. If it was available in brazil it would be easier. But I only found T153 and T161.
If no Argentine shows up, then I can probably buy from that seller and forward it to you cheaply (over here we have to pretend it is a postcard, or a CD, to send components abroad cheaply... I'm not proud of "pretending" but it is the only viable way, shipping is much more expensive for packages)

Alexandre-- Thanks for the offer, Joyfully I have just received the chip I was after!!
Tiefbassuebertr. Vielen Danke, I now have the T164 version. I was wondering if the T082 might work. Is it coincidence that 82 is half 164 ?? Both are marked "Servo"

Philips User Processors MAB8441P (MAB 8441P, MAB8441) Data for Txxx Programming Code
it would be interesting to know in general, whether one can try to swap different versions with one another without the risk of damage.
