DAC chip of CD Philips 650

I find this version seems a bit weird, do you have any comments? I wonder if the chip is fake or real.

It is not!!!

I haves several boards, all Marantz, with the TDA1541 S1.
Mainly from the Special Edition versions.

It sounds a lot better than the non-S1 version.

The chip was factory installed.

Meh, all those fakesters have no clue. Real S1 of1986 that is (of course not an Evolution 2 as that one had its origins in Bavaria �� and one of those would be worth a 1000 times more)

Yes, there were some factory S1 non A selected chips from 1986 and 1987.


Seen a few in original players over time.
