Then try an F7.
Those 2 amps would be better for your speaker and still sound very nice.
Those 2 are closer to the sonic signature of an Aleph J with more of what you want than anything else, as well as being better at driving the impedance of your speakers.
Feel obligated to chime in here... Having happened across this thread...during a mid-afternoon browse. My experience has been that based on what you (OP) are "looking for" MAJOR consideration should be given to: 1. Sources (i.e. different carts, if vinyl, or different DACs, or other methods of sonic delivery, and certainly hi-res) and 2. Pre-amps—the difference between solid state and tubes for instance in front of AJ could easily do what your descriptors say, in a general way (in point of fact Zen Mod's Iron Pre in front of AJ is just killer, my opinion, my room, my sources). I would put the sonic signature of the power amp at #3 for electronics that have made the "most difference" in my sonic journey. The top 2 being cartridges on the turntable (or DACs) followed by speakers (which I built), then preamps, then amps—as an aside, for vinyl only, one has to mention the phono preamp is of major importance (as is the deck). The entire combination of devices adding up as a whole to create the audio factors that make the arm hairs respond (my personal barometer).
