I haven’t heard of that driver. 6cm cone (ie CHN-60x? like). Do you have T/S parameters?
That box leaves me shaking my head.

OM-MF4 is a 2 1/2in unit (Sd = 23cm^2) designed for Stereo Magazine / the 2020 Mook. I designed half a dozen enclosures for it, but they seem to have vanished into the aether; I believe the enclosure you see there was done by a chap MA's Japanese distributor knows. Not, quite honestly, how I'd do it myself, but it's what he wanted and no doubt suits the main Mook audience well. Being an elongated slot vent with a high aspect ratio I assume it will have a very low tuning in relative terms, although I can't imagine it has much output.
There is a series production unit called the CHN40 in the offing, which is distantly related to this unit.

Looks like the printed Mook has had some (slight) data changes from what was done in the chamber. I'm looking at the Clio data now. Close though. Coil impedance is not a perfect 8ohms, & Sd is 23cm^2 rather than 24cm^2.
Hey Scott. I‘m trying to get information about that CHN40 / OM-MF40 since I saw the video news on the Markaudio homepage. But comments are deleted there or the captcha which is not usable blocks it. Do you have any information if it will be available in Germany? I want that thing very much. I built some nice speakers with the CHN50 which are very impressive and looking forward to the 40s.
Thanks in advance, Christof.

Sorry, didn't see the post.
The CHN40 certainly should be when it's officially released. I have no information on timing though I'm afriad: it can sometimes depend on dealer order schedules.

I finally got an answer under the video on the homepage. Thomas Lo wrote that it will be released very soon. Looking forward 🙂

I think that many tweeters should be scared.
This thing should be really good as a 500-1000Hz XO tweeter.
A12pw, SEAS A26RE4 come to mind

No news, no answers on the homepage. Something’s wrong at Markaudio. I‘m looking forward and forward and forward to the edge of the universe until now…
Well, the SEAS A26RE4 stands at about 90 dB sensitivity, while the Markaudio is 83 dB: there's a little mismatchI think that many tweeters should be scared.
