hi friends i finaly test my b500 in the bar for a sub bass pa amp. before amp i put professional crossower. and then connect to the b500 amp to 2 8 ohm subbass. but this volume and bass not enough like a 1000w. mid range is more then bass.

inside the b500 amp i use apex ba1000 input and display circuit. i dont use limiter and display parts. there is any thing i can change for more bass and volume? i think that 10k resistors can be 1k for volume but i dont know what can i do for more bass.

First of all, you should never use 1 ohm load with any amp! at such a low impedance many problem will arise such as high THD, poor efficiency etc.


If you somehow determined to stick with 1 ohm😡 :
for +/-55V DC you should at least use 7-8 pairs, for +/-55VAC use 10-12 pairs with pre-driver, the resistor values should be the same.
Be sure to use thick enough PCB traces.

which pcb layout and ckt I have to use for 250w in 8 ohm load. How many o/p pairs required. Is 4 pair ok,
Can you build b500, which ckt and layout you used.
How about PSU and others protect ckt, soft start.
Is 700 Va transformar is enough for stereo b500 as par my requirements. Please clarify.

Need active low pass filter for B500

I am going to build B500 in 250w/8ohm,
Can you have good active Low pass for B500. I want to give low frq to B500 and mid & high to I already build Ax-14. Can you help. It's good if you have for stereo.

Some dought about toridial transformar

Hello diyers

I have one dought about trans current capabilities during Amp on full load
Assume I have toro trans 50 -0-50vac 800 va
After rectified -/+70 vdc
If my trans secondary winding mignet wire is 2.34mm dim, so 2.34 dim swg mignet wire have current capacity of 16.9 A in 500kcmil/A, 11.3A on 750kcmil/A.
So if my transformar have good efficiency can I get 10 to 12 A current without much voltage drop. Can I get -/+65Vdc with 10 A current, if yes I can get 650 watt.
In Class AB efficiency 70% can I get about 400 watt on 8 ohm From B500 amp. is 6 pair op transi enough.
I know for 400 watt on 8 ohm 55v ac required I can wind few extra turn on secondary.
please help.
