6SN7 + 6SL7 suggested combination for Willsenton R8

Hello.
I have bought a Willsenton R8 amplifier.
I will use Genalex Gold Lion KT88 reissue power tubes and I'd like to know what kind of 6SN7 (x3) + 6SL7 (x2) shuold you reccomend me not expending more money in tubes than in the amp itself.

I have RCA 6SN7GTB that I could use... what 6SL7 for those?

Personally, I prefer Soviet 6N8S and 6N9S. Others may not agree, but I like them and they are affordable.

Connect Willsenton R8 to a sub

Did anyone connect the R8 to a sub?

I used to connect my solid-state amp to the sub with a jumper from my loudspeakers to the high-level input of the sub. I wonder if I can do the same to the R8. any insights would be helpful. thanks.

I use a REL sub with my Willsenton R8 and highly recommend it. Connect the REL to the 8 ohm taps on the R8, even if you use the 4 ohm taps for your speakers.

You have my curiosity up. What “thing” did you find? Must know what “thing” is before we could assess if it is popular or not.

@Francois G, I think he was referring to the amplifier subject of this thread. This brand seems to be popular at least judging on youtube videos...

@realman, I would leave it as is. RCAs are fine anyway.
