Audcom ap-110 tube pre?

I have recently acquired this audcom ap-110 preamp. It sounds great, it came with 12au7 tubes in it. I have found a few rumors about specs but factory specs, schematics, tube recommendations or a manual are nonexistent. I believe the company is Brazilian, anyone had one, seen one or have any information? Thanks

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

It was made in China, is a very nice sounding line-amp with orig. 6N2 double-triodes. Way better are GE5670W double-triodes, WE396's are good as well but just different, not better.

Data are:
Amplification: 18 dB
Frequencyrange: 10 Hz - 80Khz +0/-0,6dB
Distortion:

- 5V RMS less than 0,25% at 7KHz
and less than 0,3% from 20Hz to 20KHz
- 10V (RMS) THD less than 1,5% 20Hz -20KH7
- 20V THD less than 5%

Channel Seperation 115dB (A)
Imputimpedance: 47kohm
Outputimpedance: 600ohm
Powerconsumption: 25VA
Weight: 9kg
Tubes: 2 x 6N3/6N3P, 2C51, 5670W, CV4013, WE396
With modifications you can also use the German ECC808 which is a great tube, particular if by Telefunken:

Wow thanks, you have provided the only specs I have ever seen. When I got it the guy said he had it recapped and new tubes put in it. He thought the tubes were 12au7 and since this virus mess started I haven’t had a chance to open it up. Now I’m gonna have to go look, hopefully it’s got some ge5670w in it. Did you find the specs online or have you had one?

@Indigent Audio: Yes, I have one. The data I have still from the time when it came out, the price is Hongkong-Dollars. It was more expensive in USA and Europe though. Some idiots made it into a Brasilien tube-preamp, amazing how quick others pick up on that.
@duncan2: The E283CC is a special version with data closer to the 12AX7, amp-factor of 100 is similar
The 6N3P or 5670 has an amp-factor of 35, i.e more similar to the 12AU7!

There is no such tube as a 5470, I guess you have mis-read the name?
5670 it would be. A good tube, not expensive.

As the preamp is kind of center of the chain, tube quality is super important.
The WE Version is very nice and mellow in midrange and has fine treble but weak in bass.
The 5670W exists in many different versions, one has to find out which one suits best.
I have heard of cryogenised versions (Cryotube) which are supposed to be the best
but could not find any which is a shame.

It is a very nice tube but also consider the modification to the ECC808. This is a fanstastic tube, one of the best I know. Particular Philips-Valvo, Siemens and of course Telefunken
are the ones to go for.

Also your attachments won't work!

If your preamp came with 12AU7s, then you can't plug in 5670s. They have very different pinouts.

The same goes for a 6922, the pinout is incompatible with a 12AU7.

For 5670 vs. 6922, the 6922 has a far lower maximum plate voltage rating, so that would at minimum have to be investigated.

I looked up the GE 5670 5 star and it is well regarded. I might try other 5670 but I am interested if anyone thinks a 6922 is an upgrade? I am also interested in the ecc808, does anyone know if there is a plug in adapter for it?
What do you want to change? Nobody can advise you what you like. We only can generalize soundsignatures as i did. You must decide yourself what you want and like.
