I bought and old KAV-300IL. Open up the amp and found this repairs done. Its 2 x Dale 5ohm resistors soldered across the 10ohm AMD resistor. I don't quite understand whats it for. Because 10ohm dale and 10ohm SMD resistor in parallel would become 5ohms. Found it across 3 10ohm SMD resistors....
would need some assistance on whats it for??

Take a look at the service manual and you will know whether it is an adjustment of a selectable value or a prescribed value.
Krell schematics are not easy to find... and they make sure you don't find it. They are pulled from sites if someone does post them...
Hard to tell exactly what the mod might be there for. It doesn't look like a factory mod though, as it is mechanically less than ideal.
If the manuals are that hard to get and yes I tried too then what is stopping Escku digging out his trusty multi-meter and tracing where they go to ?
In this way he can build up a picture of the circuit , its been done many times before and there are some design engineers who get curious as to why somebody hides a schematic and do a bit of reverse engineering .
I know a couple of Scandinavians who have done it , they got quite enlightening results even better than reading Agatha Christie as its more hands on and revealing.
It should be a clue that the components are near ( I take it ) large output devices as copper on PCB,s doesn't usually jump over other parts of the circuit .
Krell DVD schematics are available in the USA at a cost of $20

Hi thanks. I have measured and the SMD resistors were fried. So the 2 x 5ohm was soldered over to replace the SMD ones. So, its not a mod.
