Depends on how much volume displacement you need, how clean you want the sound overall before hitting max output, enclosure size you can handle, and total cost.
Also, depending on your application, you might want to do a big FLH or tapped horn. Would be cleaner than a pair of sealed or reflex subs through most of the LFE passband but would be more sensitive to room modes.

I want them for a multi sub set up - I already own a Velodyne DD12 so need at least 2 more subs.

My favorite subWoofer is the SDX10 (i have 4 downstairs, eventually would like to recreate the push-push subs that were sold while i was in hospital).
But getting them over to the UK would likely significantly increase the budget.
More locally sourced drivers will have an advantage.
I also recommend, particularily for subs, is 2 use 2 smaller drivers push-push as opposed to a single one in a box. Well done the active reactive force cancelation dramatically decrease the load on the box, allowing for use of a far less draconian box construction to tame potential resonances.

The internal pressure of the box should be the same, and while there will be a net cancellation of inertia forces, I don’t think there will be much reduction, if any, in vibration. CSS do have a distributor in Europe but as always the VAT does increase the cost a fair bit. Can you provide a link to a push push design that you’d recommend?

The internal pressures could cause balooning with a box that is not sufficiently stiff, but transmission of energy to excite potention resonances comes primarily from those transmitted from the driver frame to the box. Push-push removes (set) some 90fi of those.
Way less vibration. We specifically built a box with 2 x SDX10 out of 15mm BB. Its vibration character was superb. I will not build a single woofer sub any longer after this test.
There is no change in even order distortion, that is push-pull and one one needs to be careful about reduceing 2nd order below the 3rd (and increasing 3rd).

The drawing is old and needs some tidying, but here it is. The smaller one is a compromise due to size, but it is the one we built and it works fine. Current owner says it is the best sub he has ever used. He is an audio tech (among other things).
