Hey everyone. I've seen on some amplifier builds there are these chassis mount rails where resistors and capacitors are mounted on them for the high voltage components. Does anyone know what they are called? If not, can anyone recommend a way to mount all those components inside the chassis?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Do you mean like this? This is a "Turret Board".
I just wire things point to point or use terminal strips...
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

One more question - what's the turret board attached to? I don't see any mounting holes or screws in that photo.
There are holes in each corner and standoffs are used between the board and the chassis for mounting.

If your wanting to mount them directly on the chassis you can use something called a standoff i don't think they make them anymore but you can get them insulated and not. insulated means that when you screw it to the chassis it's not electrically connected.
Standoffs/spacers are common parts, and are still used a lot. Made of aluminum, steel, nylon, ceramic, etc.

I was referring to stuff like this, Not sure anyone makes this stuff anymore
Standoff Terminals - Diallyl Phthalate
- Home
- Amplifiers
- Tubes / Valves
- Chassis mounts of resistors etc
