I've recently bought a couple of monacor spx32-m attracted by their wooden phase plug and, of course, the price 40€ for the pair.
Now I did some calculations, and, considering their parameters thought to do a bass reflex 4-5L box.
Any ideas ? (I'm trying to avoid the subwoofer)

Taking the factory specs, BR 3 litres (net) tuned to 80Hz is a possibility. I would suggest using them where no baffle step correction is needed, you cannot really afford to lose output with a 3" driver.
Yes, it was my idea. But i have not so much experience in "elaborated boxes" like labyrints.. i've always seen little full range in giant boxes with a lot of pieces and i'm not so able with them. So, classic BR with (front or rear ?) reflex, (i prefer front because of the distance from the wall), and with nothing between the speaker and the amp ? Thanks again 🙂
I did a side mounted port once, which worked but obviously they could not have anything in front of the port.

Ended up closing them in 2 lottle boxes, no BR.
They sound great, specially the mids. Tomorrow i will put 2 photos.
