Just want to report pretty decent ultra cheap midrange (16 ohm) from parts express. So I got two in parallel with cheap tweeter (long time ago sale of 100 in box for like 20 bucks).
I placed no coil on mids (since this is cheap project). Placed just one cap on tweeter. I tried 4.7uF, 6.8uF and 8.2uF. Settled on 6.8.
Results are surprisingly good. Especially directivity.
Cosmetics is still work in progress. Its open baffle, since it will be used on top of the woofers. Measurements are without woofer. Otherwise its flat from 30Hz.

And one more thing I forgot, I measured with tweeter in phase and out of phase, it measured way better in phase.
Wow so you're postage cost was dearer than the 100 tweeters! Do the tweeters vary in response a lot ? The measurements seem superb ,how loud can they get before they sound rough ?

No, not really. I usually place multiple items in one order, so i have free shiping.
Btw, found my old thread when i was making Keele's CBT arrays. The tweeters are onkyo, they measure and sound very well.
They never sound rough. It was years ago, so i did not remember correctly.
They were 200 tweeters for $10!
200 Onkyo Tweeters for $10 (Limit 2 cases per Cus
Looks good Ada. Are they sitting on subs?
Mtm's are going to a friend once finished, the 'subs' are just stands for now. He has woofers in boxes already.

I have a bunch of those all bought along with two boxes of "NSBs" for a line array. Line array was a nice experiment but it did not turn out the way I expected it to be, since I could not mount these tweeters on the box. The frequency response of your design looks really good!
