I have now tried Sanken's best transistors, traditional and more expensive metal MEX transistors (well same price as sanken's best) and toshiba 2sc5200 & 2sa1943 pairs, (I have only tried Japanese) one pair per channel, blow the other, more expensive ones, out of the water. Maybe bc they operate around 30mhz.
I gotta get a photo of the amp I designed onto here soon. It is beautiful. I even found a japanese switch which does not affect the sound quality, added that, then put an old vintage rifa AC cap across the 220V mains input according to the advice of an oscilloscope expert on this site who designed amps for 20 yrs.

the amp, a 5v power supply for DAC,a 1-30v psu from the '60s, and a speaker I built. trimmed the whizzer cone to ~1-1.5cm depth, might remove the rifa, funny smell this morning. gotta replace the two crappy volume knobs and its a done job. Guess I wil go with a stereo Alps volume knob unless someone can get me a discrete resistor one in Thailand within one week for $20 or less, stereo.
Give me a confirmation about the new smell and rifa is gone. Already have a power cleaner but the rifa isnt located on the live side but after the after power switch. I thought the smell was trannies burning in overnight, left the unit on, woke up to a new funny smell coming from the amp today. Thanks, friend

No confirmation needed. 14 screws and she is topless.rifa has changed color overnight and IS the source of the smell. "what would I do without you experts?" "where would I be?" House still hasnt burned down thanks to (mostly) y'all and some relays.

Sorry for blurry pic. one night of rifa "cleaning the AC power" and it went from a typical looking RiFA to what you will see in the pic. Thanks a million (baht hahahahaha)
