B1 with Korg Triode

The white capacitors at output are also away now. Use the 10 uf electrolytics. But the the 3 Vdc was there even after the white capacitors where gone.

Do you think the buffer was oscilating because the capacitiv load off the fat screened cable? It is what I think. I will use thin twisted unscreened. But now bedtime - clock is 02 in Copenhagen. Maybe this fixed my hum problem too.

No. If you used the 100 ohm output resistor, then you would not have
an issue. No resistor, any cable could do it.

Both this and the output resistor to ground are there for a reason.

Problem was missing input capacitor in the Aleph 1.7. I thought it was not needed because off the output capacitors in the Korg. So Aleph had 3 Vdc at input. But I still have problem with Aleph - lot off AC at output.

Its Salmon season here in Oregon, 2 so far in the freezer, have been too busy for much fishing.

I've got the most recent store board and nutube, working on the order of the rest of the parts (figured I am too slow for the pioneer completion kit, as I will wait for 6L6's guide before assembly). Will make my chassis, as I can't resist opportunities to design my own.

Other than (4) 100R, possibly PP caps in the signal path, and power supply choice (Triad WW vs Meanwell RS-75-24, are there any other updates/mods I ought to consider?

Choice of attenuators?

Yes, I am thinking of starting with an Ebay "Valab 23 Step Attenuator" - I will have the option of digital volume, from a Khadas Tone Board/EdgeV SBC source, so reserving my obsessiveness for something else (such as the caps, considering 0.22uf, 1.0uf Jantzen Z-Superior caps for the first two, and 3.9uf Z-standard for the last, as I have a pair left over from some crossovers.

re: Erlend, curious how that works for you, as I need to do both (buy & learn), perhaps you could let us know via a new thread.

Zen Mod you think I am a lousy Diy man.....

Nope , didn't tell that nor I had similar thoughts .....

first - even doing electronics as work for almost 30 years , I still make mistakes

second , I have no skills in so many areas , whom many people excels , so can I judge someone by skill in electronics ?

lousiness is not measured by skill , it is measured by approach - if you asked a question , answers are given , you work to solve a problem and invest efforts - you're a proper DIYer

that's the state of mind , not number of finished projects

btw. I was never good at fishing
