No, I thought your post was as out of order as was JC's (which must be number 1000 in a long list of such posts by him). But lets leave it at that if you will.
See my response to jn.
The problem here is that there is a 'Kangaroo Court' situation here and a bunch of you guys automatically regard inputs from JC (and others) as offensive when no offense is intended, and in retaliation are then offensive and deliberately so.

I'm just saying this place would be much better if ego's could be dropped and everybody learned to just get along politely and constructively, and that includes stopping the heckling from the predictably usual participants.

Dan.

You mean the heckling like the following quote?
"Your lack of details is insulting to other members actually, so go ahead, fill in the blanks, let us know who you are and what your experience is, your affiliations, you have nothing to hide right ?."

Everyone who hides behind an avatar without any information on his/her real name seems to have something to hide, for whatever reason.
Funny thing is, in ICT lessons it was taught to be anonymous for security reasons. Including from bullying 😀 I'm in this website for collecting information regarding audio and especially downloading attachments which require a user account. I'm not for selling or looking for virtual friends either. So being anonymous is what I have preached and practiced.

I Father taught me to never point and added "when you point the finger, remember there are three fingers pointing back [to yourself."

Look at the bottom of the hand, it's true, three fingers pointing back. How about that? 😀

How do you know Dan, can you look into JC's and other peoples heads?

My hypothesis is that he knows better, but likes to upset level headed engineers and scientists whenever he can. Our overheated response may be the desired outcome.

No, some of JC's posts are deliberately insulting. The question then is how to respond to them: ignore or reply? It could be argued that ignoring them shows less respect for him than replying to them.

Heckling is a normal part of public discourse. People may object to it when it exposes their lack of coherent argument or reasonable evidence.

Maybe in some cultures:

gerund or present participle: heckling
1.
interrupt (a public speaker) with derisive or aggressive comments or abuse.
"he was booed and heckled when he tried to address the demonstrators"
synonyms: jeer, taunt, jibe at, shout down, shout at, boo, hiss, disrupt, interrupt, harass; shout catcalls at; barrack; informal: give someone a hard time
