Bill,
Our body hair is a sensory system that monitors air and water currents, and als provides for close distance contact sensing. Funny they missed it.
Some eyebrows put cat whiskers to shame.
Another one is pressure changes, we have a receptor for that.
That brings me to 35, hands down.
For bragging rights, anyone who can perceive aura's?
Edit: hearing only gets one check. But we have bone conduction, torso vibrations for bass, in other words, 37 senses, check.

Bill, why is there so often some kind of insult from you like "search engine challenged", it would benefit the forum if you could find it in yourself to be more community minded in future please.
I was not challenging you, I was politely asking for you to elaborate so as to ensure discussion of same data set, something you demand of others.
According to my experience I would say your list is not comprehensive in any of the columns listed and at the least magnetic field sensing and electric field sensing should be added.
Dan.

What do you mean by 'passive agressive', and how could my posts possibly be interpreted as such, please explain ?.
Dan.

That's a good question, perhaps this will help 7 Signs You'''re Dealing With a Passive-Aggressive Person | Time and from this article : "The behavior is practically defined by its plausible deniability". See the irony?
There are various lists out there, one that pulls out sexual stimulation as seperate but they get very contentious very quickly and I run into the limit of my biological knowledge! But I think we are in violent agreement that lots of inputs are used with lots of influencers once things move up the stack. That brings me to 35, hands down.

No I don't, please explain to me how my questions and my responses are aggressive or can be interpreted as aggressive in any way ?.That's a good question, perhaps this will help 7 Signs You'''re Dealing With a Passive-Aggressive Person | Time and from this article : "The behavior is practically defined by its plausible deniability". I’ve always been about the ‘feel’ of music, probably the reason I prefer listening louder than most.......when you can feel treble your onto something! It’s a interesting sensation..... probably only in small doses of course as the db levels involved are considered damaging.
Edit....as hairy as I am I wonder if a boxers only listening session is in order? 😀😱

You seem to miss what passive aggression is. I was only referring to your post about Bill being, in your eyes, insulting. But if you read the link you should be able to see how your whole goop, loop exercise could be considered passive aggressive.
I consider the first verses of 'you are old father william' to be close to valid now for me 🙂. probably only in small doses of course as the db levels involved are considered damaging.
Comfort is very important, as it temperature. Boxers and a leather sofa would possibly not be a good combination. Thongs and mankinis are completely out!Edit....as hairy as I am I wonder if a boxers only listening session is in order? 😀😱
In your opinion, of course.Nice try to give yourself a free pass on deflection and even hijacking each thread/topic, but it doesn't work. 😉
Of course you don't want to follow because doing so will publicly expose your FUD spreading for years and undercut your audio business. Skin effect is irrelevant in audio and you know that.As stated before, it is just a deflection and I don't want to follow. 🙂

Is that passive aggressiveness? Scott? 😀
And here I thought the image I put forth was disturbing enough.....touche! 😎
Bill's post? No, I wouldn't say so. There is a lot of it about, we all do it to some degree, it's just one of the more insidious forms of controlIs that passive aggressiveness? Scott? 😀
I just have an evil sense of humour and the ability to lower the tone of almost any conversation 😀
Ok....whew, I was about to look for a hotline!
..... Like that?
I suppose there’s a fine line between smartassedry and passive aggression......we all strive to be comedians on some level. 😀

I asked politely (I did say please) for purpose of knowing the same information that B.S. was quoting and so that was there is no opportunity for ambiguity, no guessing, no misinformation. In my world a polite question gets a polite answer, just saying 'Google it' is imprecise and is invitation to different data set to the one that B.S. is working from, that's why I asked and from most viewpoints B.S.'s response would be interpreted as 'passively aggressive' or in old speak, insulting. You seem to miss what passive aggression is. None of what I have ever said about Goop is intended to be aggressive in any way shape or form, if you interpret my findings as insulting to your beliefs then so be it but that is because of your internal workings and beliefs and not mine. Data point: I sat waiting outside the local shopping centre today and got talking to a lovely lady five years my junior who was wearing headphones playing her favorite music from her phone. Turns out she was a songwriter for some iconic Aussie bands in her day and has been involved with music industry most of her life so I pulled a Goop filter out of my pocket and without any prompting or coaching asked her to try it on her headphone cable and give me an opinion. Same as everybody else her comments were clearer/better bass, clearer/better vocals and clearer/better highs after audition. This is just anybody off the streets with normal set of senses and no preconditioning, it seems odd to me that such 'commoners' can hear these differences whilst you won't accept that such audible differences are possible ?. So where is the aggression coming from, I know it is not from me.
Dan.
My initial/immediate thought/reaction was too Google "human senses", why wasn't it yours? Insulting is not passive aggressive, you seem to still not get what it is, however, Bill's "google it" could be considered passive aggressive in my view, or it may have been aggression, I don't know, but TBH I think sometimes that's better because it is at least it's honest and doesn't leave room for confusionI asked politely (I did say please) for purpose of knowing the same information that B.S. was quoting and so that was there is no opportunity for ambiguity, no guessing, no misinformation.

No, it's nothing to do with my beliefs, it's that none of your tests seem to be completed or done properly, this could be construed as passive aggressive, see the "leaving things undone" sectionNone of what I have ever said about Goop is intended to be aggressive in any way shape or form, if you interpret my findings as insulting to your beliefs then so be it but that is because of your internal workings and beliefs and not mine.

Back at around Christmas time I treated backline and PA for a particular show with my filters. Just into the second set The SE fitted the last filter around the Ethernet cable feeding digital audio to the PA system stage rack. This lifted the sound from vibrating of body to causing massage vibration of whole body including flicking of hair on my forehead, a sensation I have experienced only once before. Ears hearing, bone conduction, torso vibration.....whatever this was the best sound I have heard, ever. Our body hair is a sensory system that monitors air and water currents, and also provides for close distance contact sensing. Here you go: this story is an insult to every half brained human being. So according to your logic, I (for example) should dump 25 years of education, another 25 years of experienece, rationalizing, Occam's Razor, etc... and trust your Goop filter (whatever the **** that is) stories.
Some (not many) will tell you point blank the same, some of the more non conflictual type will chuckle and stay silent, but fact is, you are polluting this site with your nonsense. You are one step away from conspiracy theories (the envious scientists are actively refusing to acknowledge your amazing results and deny you a well deserved recognition, while the reptilians contacted you for the Goop recipe, etc...). But go ahead, at least I myself can take it 😀.
