We all are biased, the crucial points is to be aware of that fact and to learn how to handle the effects (as we are humans it will probably not be perfect, but ...).
My comment was more aimed at cdbd's list, as it a compilation that covers the whole range from fairly sound experiments to dramatically failed attempts.
Why someone compiles and posts such a list without any warnings about these differences in design quality is hard to understand; a possible explanations might be to find in some biases...... 😉

Ideas like that will lull you into an unfounded sense of comfort. The problem, of course, is what kept the mechanism going to produce machine-molecules like this
untill they worked properly together in sweet harmony.
There is not even a theorie about a random process that could assemble complicated molecules like this. It is not just the chemical composition, but also the 3D folding which determines the function of these molecules.
Once life has occurred, it can be understood how species evolve by discarding failures and by promoting the well adjusted.
However, to surmise that the same mechanism could have caused the origin of life, is a fallacy. There is no self-perpetuating stream of complicated molecules from which selections can be made. With a further complication that succes of a molecule can only be determined by its interaction in a life system with a zillion other complicated molecules.

Dowsing is about picking up variation in earth radiations, that means levels and spectrums and rods are indicators and are not required.
I have seen map dowsing work and precisely and from 15km away from the target area, I don't know how this dowsing works but I did feel sensation in my forehead while the drawn floor plan I drew was scanned by the dowser. Before there is any of the usual bleating by the usual crowd, this man was 85 years old and the straightest, cleanest, clearest, wisest and most sensible man I have met.
In addition to teaching me to understand the dowsing senses we all have, he shared wisdom that I still live by and that is the best drug is no drugs, and to not believe in any fixed belief system.
Theories are mere belief systems until proven, until we have the complete proven answers to the ultimate questions physics is theories. All you guys who believe that dowsing has no basis don't have any experience of what dowsing really is and are relying on hearsay, and the same goes for BQP, none of you have direct experience of what BQP does and go by mere hearsay.
I am reminded of the Dunning-Kruger effect here, it is the 'ignorant' ones when confronted by concepts that he does not understand or do not match his book learnings declares others to be stupid or deluded and loudly so, indeed reinforcing 'Condemnation Without Examination Is Prejudice'.
It is interesting to note that the Catholic churches historically appropriated known 'sacred places' or engaged Freemasons to dowse places to site their churches and cathedrals, all the while advising the congregations that dowsing was 'from the devil' and route to possession by evil spirits.
One example that I know of is St. Ursus Cathedral (Cathedral of St. Ursus) or Solothurn Cathedral in Switzerland which has a very strongly energetic intersection spot at the head of the main aisle way, something I discovered by accident and proof enough for me. (Zung and other Swiss members I can tell you more if you are interested to find out for yourself)
We have been 'shut down' by organised and 'approved' education throughout history, the persecution of Galileo is a fine example, other examples abound.
Wake up everybody, if you are not sleeping right or suffering rheumatism for example no prescription meds are going to fix the health effects of a bed or workplace desk placed over a geopathic 'hot spot', there is much 'esoteric' knowledge we are told does not exist by those who misuse such knowledge.

I will defer to my late sister on this. She was a fully piled high microbiologist and in a bar with a number of her colleauges they all agreed that an intelligent designer would have done a rather better job of it.
Now of course an informal discussion with a group with 100+ combined years working with the innards of cells is just that, but I found their argument more compelling than yours. I do not wish to convert anyone else to my point of view, but if you meet your intelligent designer please ask him why our eyes are inside out!

The latest attempt I read about needed the existence of at least ten parallel universes to explain our current one, which is (besides the challenging mathematical side of these theories) fascinating but obviously moves the general problem only to another level.
The next publication I read about was, why these fascinating theories about parallel universes probably will only work if restricted to some specific conditions.....
IMO, there might be a chance (up to a certain degree) by simulations given the ever raising computational power, but to run simulations one needs (usually simplified) models of reality which are based on theories about....

I only wanted to bring across, that no credible vectors for abiogenisis have ever been described. You are still confounding the origin of species with the origin of life. Anyways, all this was triggered by the point that science is all we have and better than voodoo, certainly when it comes to audio.
But, thanks to the advance of science, there are an increasing number of questions that we are all dancing around. Another such question is that there seems to be a scientific consensus that dark matter must constitute some 85% of the mass of the Universe. But, as long as we don't have a clue as to what dark matter really is, how can we be so sure that it does not have an impact on sound quality? Might the Bybees work at this level? That could explain why our conventional measurements show nothing.
Btw, I prefer to refer to this entity as our 'head engineer'.

Sure, but it is another topic, as it aimed to what a reader of this (any) randomly compiled list should do, while the original question - to which you responded - was about the motivation to compile and post such a list without a warning about the quite profound quality differences.
Besides that, I got somehow (the impression) from cddb's post and comment about this list, that the advisable care about such lists is not universally taken.
Which is a reasonable argument, but usually often "engineering" doesn't mean to realize the best solution (means the perfect one and only) but something that works. (But if that can be an argument depends on the broader underlying assumptions in this discussion)
